With Worthy, DHop, and Hollywood healthy and TK actually giving a shit now I strongly disagree. They may slow, but won't stop us and they don't have the firepower to play a shootout vs. our defense.
Keep in mind that until the Denver game it was KC's defense that had allowed the fewest points all year... [Reply]

I wanted this dude to work out more than anyone, but it just didn’t happen. The guy isn’t starting another game for this team.
Matt Derrick thinks the Chiefs would feel more comfortable moving Joe back to guard and keeping DJ at LT.
But like I mentioned in a previous post. Many fans here are fickle and one eyed. Thuney has played three games against three teams who were low in confidence and on losing streaks. He did very well. And suddenly "he's Trent Williams". So if we continue to struggle running the ball then what? And what if Joe has a bad game then what?
DJ is a pro bowl level LT with vast experience who just had his first full week of practice and played a game against the top pass rush of which he had ups and downs. Now he'll have another two weeks to bank more practices and get more in shape which would no doubt help his performances moving forward.
There's no way anyone can convince me that he can't perform well with the same help Joe has gotten and Pat getting rid of the ball quick. No way. [Reply]

If we stick with the quick game I actually feel pretty good about that match up. It negates a lot of what they do well on D. It was the game after that we finally started calling quick hitters and the offense got a breath of fresh air. A quick and in rhythm Mahomes is really hard to stop. Especially with healthy weapons.
Ill return to a bitch that I've bitched many times. Why did it take so long to get to this iteration of the offense? We should have dusted off the Alex Smith Call sheet week 6 or 7. [Reply]
Agreed, not bad. Early in the game he looks stiff, especially on a run play. He has a fluid kick at the end of the footage, maybe he is getting the rust out. He didn't get put on his ass repeatedly like last game he was in, progress. [Reply]
He and Kingsley actually looked better than i expected overall. He got help early on. Not sure if planned or just part of the RBs leaking that way. I think they start him for the playoffs honestly. [Reply]

His footwork looked pretty good, he’s strong at the point of attack and once he gets hands on hard to get rid of him. [Reply]
Yeah, he was generally not noticeable and functioning OK within the offense. I think you can chart him with a few other pass block losses, other than the sack (not sure what happened on that one, as he didn't look like that on any other snap. It WAS a 4th down, with crazy crowd noise, so maybe Bonnitto - who is just really good, period - just timed it up right and Humphries couldn't get out there.) [Reply]
