Remember the point of the story wasn't to inform or be truthful in any sense. It was about exposure, clicks, social media engagements and being fractionally relevant for 13 seconds in KC [Reply]

It probably means that someone they know sent them all of the bullshit on Twitter and he felt that he had to speak up about it. If he doesn’t mention it at all then dumbasses like Clay and Marty run around talking about how they’re being eerily silent about it. [Reply]

Nah. It just speaks to the notion that there was SOME truth to the claim that there was friction around the AFCCG - I don’t think anyone would be truly surprised by that as emotions run high, it’s a big game, etc. It’s where the article makes artistic leaps and contortions to explain long-standing team dynamics that’s problematic.
Honestly, the fact that Andy Reid had to even comment on it is a massive indictment of the article. They genuinely did actual damage to people who are integral to this organization’s success. Half this board hates Brittany and Jackson for being distractions but this clickbait unquestionably made its way to everyone in the organization - shaded negatively - to the point where our HOF head coach had to comment on it.
This is like reverse Save our Chiefs but sullying the organization when we’re actually the gold standard.
A bad look. A really fucking bad look. This is a low point for CP. [Reply]

The fact that Save Our Chiefs was invoked to lend credibility to this "article" is disappointing. It only served to sully what was accomplished back then.
If we are gonna list off the ways that this board is an embarrassement to the organization... let's not forget the Gracie Hunt thread. [Reply]

The fact that Marty posts bullshit with the SOC Twitter account is beyond disgraceful. [Reply]

A perfect way to end this. Lock the thread! [Reply]

100% this. The "cesspool" tag is truly appropriate for CP with those who seem to have no level they won't stoop down to, who have no line they won't cross if it means they get notoriety for a few minutes. And the moderators tolerating this crap with the excuse that it's too hard to ban repeat offenders should maybe make an effort to help us out of the cesspool. [Reply]

Very big difference between stuff being said in a closed echo chamber and something that makes its way out into the public realm that multiple people on the team feel the need to address. [Reply]

I see what you are saying, but it's not like this thread is so out of character. This place is run by trolls, the Chiefs office surely already knew it as well as football fans all over the country. [Reply]

This place isn’t run by trolls, but it is inhabited with some trolls. [Reply]
