So who does Denver take at #5 now? I gotta think after today’s trade, Giants are definitely going Chubb. So Darnold at #1, then Chubb, then Rosen or Baker (I’d bet Rosen) to the Jets, Browns could trade down, but if not probably take Barkley.
So that leaves QB’s Baker or Allen to choose from or someone like Nelson, or possibly a trade down with Buffalo since they seem to want a QB bad. Be interesting to see which of those options appeal most to Donkos.
But it’s Elway, so whoever he drafts, I’m sure he’ll manage to fuck it up somehow. [Reply]

You cant have it both ways imo. You cant say 'look at the great start to the year' as a positive, while simultaneously saying that the end doesn't matter. You're measuring each with the same tool - why does one count and one not? [Reply]

I honestly don't recall my interactions with you... I can think of maybe a half dozen members that I'm pretty blunt with, but other than that, nothing.
You used snarky and bitchy while complaining about comments on a sports forum. Have a good one. [Reply]

Dunno.. wouldn't be upset with a trade back, but not too far back. Nelson, Fitzpatrick... both need areas. I'm just not interested in the QBs that look to be there. [Reply]

I think Chiefs fans should know that you can have a really talented roster but be bogged down by subpar QB play. The Chiefs had like 9 Pro Bowlers one year and still went 4-12. Look how quickly they turned it around when they dumped Cassel for Smith.
Dallas and Jacksonville had some serious young talent from former drafts. Broncos, simply just dont. They have some old offensive talent that might be able to recapture early career form, when they had arguably the best qb in the league throwing to them, but thats not likely. On defense theres harris who is elite (but older and having to tske number ones now i assume) and von (who i think will continue to be elite for years), but not much else imo. Its not like they have the best offensive line in the league, or an uber talented defense full of top picks to spur on the turn around. [Reply]

Im not complaining at all bro. You brought it up, im just responding to you! :-). And you literally have been conversing with me for the last 8 or so pages. We aren't talking a long time. [Reply]

Denver will fail miserably this season and VJ will be fired, then they will be sitting there with a well known drunk mess on the throne, an average at best QB, the second worst oline in the league (thank Seattle), unknown ownership, and any remaining talent will want out or stay on and show any young players how to lose Bronco-style. Real attractive package there for top executive/coaching talent. If whoever owns that shit show (Ms. Bowlen aka the Joker) decides to can Elfraud then good luck on getting a decent GM/coach combo. Losing is the new culture in D town and you better get used to it.
Spot.
On.

I suggest a visit to the optometrist, then.

The general ugliness is starting already and it is only going to get worse.
Good. I hate it when rival fans play passive-aggressive. Put your dish on the plate and serve it up if you can.

What homerism?
The Chiefs are 100% FACT sitting on an offensive goldmine with a GM that would rather run his testicles across a cheese-grater than sit still and "accept" anything.
The Chiefs defense needs to plug a few holes and develop depth while possibly going in a different direction in regards to its Coordinator, though said coordinator did quite well in his first two seasons and prior to drafting the one defensive player that most fans are no longer wringing hands over.
Special teams have lost the burst they had when Reid first came to KC, but again, said GM is more than likely working around the clock to fix said burst as opposed to hanging out in his office and slamming Scotch while lamenting his piss poor decision to go "all-in" from day one with no consideration toward future endeavors.
All in all, I'd say most Chiefs fans at CP have a pretty realistic and steady handle on all things related to the franchise.

Denver isn't anywhere near as bad as CP portrays them. We have no glaring holes on defense and we have a bunch of high picks to spend on the offense if we want to. Don't forget, we get Jake Butt and Carlos Henderson back this year so the offense already has some help on the way.
Dude, you ARE "that bad" and if Mr. Ed doesn't kill it this coming April, you are going to make Hester Prynne look like Ms. Popularity around these parts.

This makes things super interesting for sure. Who do you bronco fans like more? Getting knowmo doesnt want to risk drafting Allen. Will probably be Mayfield, or Nelson then. [Reply]

Do you think you can take a guard in the top 10? I really dont know that i would. [Reply]

I think he lacked the testicular fortitude or conviction ... he wanted to have the out of landing on 8-8. I wasn't interested in walking away for 8-8, it's like trying to claim who won a tie. [Reply]
