It's been a solid run...
- 30 yard FG in the final seconds to complete the sweep last year @ Denver
- solid beat down by 10 early in the season @ KC
- another 34 yard FG in OT to win @ Denver in 2016
- and another solid beat down by 23 @ KC
- incredible dismantling of Manning in 2015, winning by 16 @ Denver
Of the 5 straight wins, two were within a FG late while the other 3 were double digit a$$ kickings, no doubt about it or argument from me.
We'll see what changes this year. 17 FGs in those games from Santos and Butker over the 5 game span. Defense does a better job of holding field position and eliminating the big play - we'll have a split in 2018.
Denver can compete for and win 10 games in 2018, but it won't be 'because of' Keenum... they have some work left to do. Keenum is better than what they had, but regardless of what they did at QB, they need to focus on a few other areas as well. I'm hoping Keenum can provide leadership that has been missing the last 2 seasons. [Reply]

Denver still needs to do something about the right side of their OL, but they should be in the thick of it this year.
You're drafting 5th overall and you haven't brought anyone in to help besides Keenum. You guys are pretty bad. Maybe if you had made an organizational change like the Chiefs did in 2013 I'd buy what you're selling, but you're stuck with the same old shit that got you here in the first place. John Elway has proven that without a Hall of Fame QB falling into his lap he's an average at best GM with a particularly bad draft record. His decision to keep Vance Joseph around was especially baffling, considering he doesn't trust him to make player personnel decisions and the team quit on him last year according to you. [Reply]

Dude, 0-5 IS 0-5 - No matter how YOU look at it. Again, when it was in your favor, you had no such vision. In fact - you took your PA / Arrogant approach as usual and suggested that it would be highly unlikely that KC would ever return the favor. You even instructed me /us to get back to you when KC did. So, here we are and you're making excuses. :-) [Reply]

Um...Yes they are.
No they wouldn't have.
Yes, and a LOT more.
No. They will come in last place again. [Reply]

It wouldn’t have been replaced. OL, OC, RB and TE were significantly better in Minnesota.
Per the Denver Post: “In fact, only 7 drafted players from Elway's first five classes (2011-15) are still on the roster. Ray, Heuerman, Garcia, Roby, Paradis, Wolfe, Miller.”
That’s why the Broncos are bad. They were an old team with mostly key players past their prime and now they are trying to fix that in this draft.
There isn’t any top 10 caliber young talent on Denver’s team (25 or younger) [Reply]

Yep. And to a person, they are ALL part of the same entitled and spoiled fan base, that can't deal with the losing that is upon them. This will actually work out better for us because it's gonna provide us with plenty of laughs for a longer period of time, than it would if they would just simply accept the fact that they came in last for a reason, because they suck, and have a terrible GM, HC and scouting Dept. Oh - and STILL no real QB to help hide all the weaknesses.
We all KNOW SUCK when we see it - Especially the kind of suck that is upon them now. It's going to be pretty sweet if they flounder in it, as we did. And early indications are that they will do exactly that. [Reply]

Oh, Dorsey will be missed to a point, BUT I bet we have another one. He seems to be quite good at trades and FA signings. I bet he's kinda good at that whole drafting thing too, and I bet he won't cash strap us with bad contracts to aging vets... :-)
And KC is going to be in the same spot that Denver was in 2016 where they had a bunch of young players that they couldn't afford to keep. You already traded away Peters, and if you guys paid Sammy Watkins $16M, Hill is going to want even more... [Reply]

I'd say that Veach is off to a nice start when it comes to being a GM, but this upcoming draft will be very telling. Still, pretty pathetic you can't even make a token defense of Elway and Joseph outside of deflecting to the Chiefs. [Reply]
