They probably knew they didn't have the team to compete with Minnesota or the cap space to compete with the Jets, but even if they were Cousins' #1 choice I don't think they would've coughed up the money necessary to sign him.

Cousins wasn't signing with Denver ant way. He knows that roster is dog Shit. It wasn't about money as you paid 30 million more for a guy that's Chad Henne level in talent. Embarrassing desperation move by Denver.

I really don't see the difference between him and Simien. Dude was propped by an INSANELY talented roster, while Semen struggled behind a terrible line and WR that can't catch. Not near the coaching or defense to boot.

Siemian is skittish in the pocket, Keenum routinely makes plays like this.

This is from the Vikings last year. Have you watched his film prior to that?

Go back and watch some old Texans highlights.

Look, Keenum or Keesum (as Elway seems to prefer) is better than any Denver QB from last year, but that’s not saying much as they were all garbage. He’s not even as good as Alex Smith, and you know how must of us feel about him.

But, anyway, good luck with that . . . . .

It looks like he was just throwing the ball up for grabs but Thielen was wide open...

So i guess Patrick Mahomes routinely makes Aaron Rodgers level plays then..

Sucks he doesn't have a lick of talent around him anymore. Welp...sorry

Who knows, you could be very right... I personally don't view the signing of Case as "we found our future - rejoice". Guys rarely just appear from out of nowhere in years 6-7 and prove to be this badass.

Denver's in a spot where they are looking for the best available right now and maybe for the next couple of years because guys like Lynch have failed. There's more work to be done for sure.

Of the options... I'm fine with it and have been pretty steadfast in my lack of deisre for them to take a QB at 5. Is it the most ideal situation? Nah... better than what they had, I like what Case can do with improved talent around him. Denver has $25M in cap space --- time to make a trade or something and elevate some talent.

Pretty much.

Vikings: stud o-line, play-making RB (although he did get injured), young, on the rise WR’s in Diggs and Thielen.

Donkos: an o-line, a RB, two on the decline WR’s (Donkos almost cut Sanders).

Yeah, good luck with that, Cane Keesum or Case Keenum, whatever your name is . . . .

I haven't watched anything from his time in Houston or STL/LA, but just looking at the box scores, he had some pretty good games in both places. He was just up-and-down.

There's a chance he could be Brock Osweiler 2.0, but there's also a chance that he's just hitting his stride. Brock only started 7 games before he went to Houston, Keenum has started 38.
