Vote in this poll if you actually live in Jackson county.
We've all shared our opinions in the other thread. But who gives a shit what somebody in Platte County or Johnson County or Phoenix or NYC thinks. We're all just noise. [Reply]
It’s back to square one for the Jackson County Legislature as it tries to figure out how to keep the Chiefs from leaving Kansas City.
In a 5-4 vote, the legislature rejected a proposal to place a Chiefs-only sales tax measure on the November ballot.
The quarter-cent tax would go into effect in October 2031 — after the current 3/8th-cent sales tax ends. This tax would fund improvements for Arrowhead Stadium and the Truman Sports Complex and would not include Kauffman Stadium.
It was a compromise that 1st District Legislator Manny Abarca IV, who sponsored the measure, hoped would ease voters’ concerns about funding a new Royals ballpark.
If something is going to happen in MO it's going to be with the city of Kansas City teaming up with the State and not Jackson County, and probably a good thing Frank White is kept out. Despite being on different sides of the fence politically it sounds like Mayor Lucas and Governor Parsons are on the same page with keeping the teams. [Reply]

It's cute you want to tell others how to spend their money queen. Why don't you move to KS? After all KC will be just another little rock Arkansas if the team moves! [Reply]

Do you see the plan for the rest of your tax dollars or do you just pay the shit?
Vote yes! The teams are the heart of the city. You don't want to pay then move to Omaha or Little Rock where they don't have shit. Keep your tiny 100 bucks a year and fuck off.
I'm not a Jackson County resident Bub. I have a good idea though that Jackson County isn't going to vote for this without seeing a plan. That would be completely stupid. If the Chiefs cant get an idea out before the vote in November then they deserve Kansas and their uncertainty of Star Bonds. Is Clark a gambler does he roll the dice? He doesn't strike me as the type. Kansas already has one fiasco on a developer defaulting on the star bond scam. [Reply]
If they were building in Clay County and they put a tax vote out with no info I'd vote hell no. This is why we are called The Show Me State. Talks cheap put out your plan. [Reply]

At what point did I tell others how to spend their money? [Reply]
