Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

It becomes tougher to win once they get paid, but it's possible.
Matt Ryan......
Matt Fucking Ryan is who you are comparing Mahomes to? I want this guy banned, not next week, not tomorrow, Now... I want him banned. I want his family banned... I want to walk over and piss on his account credentials... [Reply]

He has like 1 or 2 wins against a winning team.
The tape is in, and he's no Mahomes. defenses are going to come at him early and often and when they start getting to him he's going to crumble like a house of fucking cards. Bank that shit. [Reply]

So the best example you can come up with is a guy who didn’t even win a SB?
Yea, it can happen, but it’s extremely difficult. You almost have to have a HOF coach and a great front office to actually pull it off...and some luck. [Reply]

Wilson did it before he got paid playing a similar way as Watson.
It's hard to win a SB, period. Ryan came about as close as you can and i'm guessing things will normalize a bit now that the Pats run is coming to an end.
So yea, you need a good coach and a good front office. That's always been the case. [Reply]

So the same person that has emphasized time and time again how important it is to take advantage of a QB on a rookie contract disagrees about what exactly?
All I’m saying is, just “good” QB’s are fine while you have them on a rookie deal, but after you pay them it makes things WAY more difficult when they’re not great/elite.
It’s a problem I’m happy to say we likely won’t have. [Reply]

It's definitely more difficult, but so much of it depends on the coach and front office. I don't know that I trust the Texans FO, I think BoB is a good enough coach but they seem to be in disarray in the FO.
As long as the Chiefs have Andy and Mahomes they'll be ok and be right there. It's just that it is gonna get a lot harder once he's making what he'll make. [Reply]

Coaching is the 2nd most important part to a team after QB. Andy has missed the playoff like 3 times in his 20 year career, all but one of those years without Pat.
But then again it’s Andy who held us back from a SB last season. [Reply]
