The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

We got hoisted on our own rule change. Before that we'd have won w/ the FG. Then we got the rule changed.

This seems like the right thread to drop this bit of trivia.
As long as everyone plays all of their regular season games between now and the end of next season, every one of the original AFL teams will have exactly 1000 regular season games played. That is, every original AFL team except one. Buffalo will be at 999 because they couldn't be bothered to play their entire schedule last year. [Reply]
The only positive about our loss tonight is that now if we lose to the Bills we will probably be the 3 or 4 seed and avoid them in the first or second round of the playoffs should they make it. That said, this is a huge game as we could come pretty close to ending their season with a win. They are too inconsistent to win it all but they are really the one team with a QB in the AFC that can win the game even if we play well. [Reply]
