I kinda liked Dreamcatcher. The part where the aliens head explodes was crazy, and totally unexpected the first time I saw it. And no I never read that book.

well, typically a screenwriter adapts the book for the movie, but in this case, King aparently screenwrote it too. So there goes blaming the screenwriter.

Anyhow, SK definitely cannot write a good ending for the most part. But he has some great ideas, as does his son.

The movie It was so freaking good until the end. The ending was awful and ruined the entire film.

As far as his books, a previous poster nailed it. His good stories are gems, but for the most part he puts out overwritten trash.

Even my wife, who reads like two books a fucking week Says he's overrated as fuck.

My wife is like Rain Man (Dustin Hoffman, not CP) reading books. Quite the expensive habit.

I still say my favorite SK works are his short stories. Skeleton Crew has been my #1 collection of short stories in any genre since I was a teenager.

Different Seasons was excellent- Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, The Body, and Apt Pupil were great reads with two out of three of those movies being pretty good as well.

Movie was meh. I remember enjoying the book quite a bit and it scared the shit out of me when I read it in high school.

This right here.

I've been a huge library fiend for the past year and a half or so. It's awesome. They've got new movies and music as well.

Although I'll admit there's no substitute for an actual book in your hand

Yep.

I'm reading American Assassin right now in hardcover. It's been a bit since I've read anything other than the Kindle or a paperback and I've enjoyed the nostalgic feel of a hardcover, as funny as that sounds.
