OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

She dated a Patriot (Amendola). She's tainted forever.

I get thinking Pat and our offense will take a step back, because it’s inevitable with the #’s they put up last year and Tyreek facing a suspension.

But if those people are also thinking the Chiefs as a team will take a step back, they’re clueless fucking morons.

Right Kay even said Mahomes will be MVP but the Chiefs will take a step back.

:-)

Well that’s just stupid. They probably think our defense got worse because we lost Ford, Berry, and Houston.

I've heard that argument from them, so yes clueless. The good news is they have a daily show to sell so they tend to change from day to day on their "Bold" predictions.

I’m glad to see Shrags is the only guy with common sense on that show

Haters gonna hate, with obtuse hyperbolic statements[/QUOTE]

All the QBs listed in the ESPN article were seasoned veterans when they had spectacular years. Mahomes had a spectacular year in his first season running Andy Reid's complicated offense. Mahomes' efficiency and effectiveness will improve in his second season running AR's offense because he's had an off season too review tape and his decision making will improve because of that. I expect a higher completion % and more pass attempts with no drop off in his average yards per attempt in 2019.

Okay but if Mahomes is the MVP this means one if not both of these things:

1) he outperforms a ridiculously crazy 2018 season in either subjectively, objectively or both (!!!);

2) no other quarterback came close to his level of play on a relative level AND there wasn't a Barry Sanders or Lawrence Taylor type of year out of any other offensive or defensive skill player.

In the first case, 2018 Mahomes was able to almost single-handedly carry a lackluster (at best) defense all the way to an AFCCG. Wouldn't outperforming that season mean the team around him hasn't gotten any worse than the previous year?

In the second case, the assumption is that there likely wasn't any other QB performances that came close to Mahomes' in the season, implying playoff-caliber teams comprised of '15 Chiefs analogues (good but not marvelous offenses with good to very good defenses), a top defensive team a la the '18 Bears or '17 Jaguars, the Patriots, and rounded out by some weaker divisional champs and wild cards that are average on the aggregate but got a lot of lucky bounces. If Mahomes is the standout singular performance in 2019, wouldn't that also be enough of a factor against the rest of the league?

She's been sucking chagers D for years and even went on a Bolts podcast after they won at Arrowhead last season just so the hosts could jizz on her face whilst she bad mouthed our Chiefs. Fuck that #oe.

Folks are going at Nate but he's far from the worst one on that show imo.

I just chalk it up to her not making any sense. It's impossible that our defense is worse than last year.

Mahomes vs the field for MVP? Hmmm

It’s probably a 3 horse race if Wentz stays healthy. Pat, Baker or Wentz. Really good QB’s with loaded offenses.

Can’t count out Brees either. I like that TE they drafted, Alize Mack.
