The situation for all these losing teams is individual.
I think teams know they should maximize assets but some will try to win more games with the vet pieces.
Carolina to me has to sell. They have no hope for anything and need all the ammunition they can get.
NY Giants? Daboll and the GM should talk with owner and say look, we know what we can do if we have better QB play. Let us go get Cam Ward and then Slayton would be an automatic sale. [Reply]

That's my thought as well. They 100% have to add somebody. If they were just going to settle for somebody like that, they would've been very agressive to get him.
It also probably means that they're looking for a particular type, not just anybody. [Reply]

We have no clue what's actually happening. For all we know, the Bills just straight up outbid them. There's plenty of options out there. The question is which ones are actually real. We don't know and probably never will. [Reply]
Aiyuk: Torn ACL/MCL
Samuel: Hospitalized with pneumonia
Jennings: Hip issues
Pearsall: Still recovering from a myriad of issues, including being shot. [Reply]

A three-peat is just part of the picture.
I want the undisputed, inarguable, greatest run of NFL championships in history.
I get it. And I also want the same thing. But here’s the thing: we have a dozen years to capture all those rings. We may have just this one shot to get the threepeat. I’m okay with sacrificing the next two-three seasons out of the next 12 to secure the ultimate “in-your-face Belichick-Brady!!!!” trophy of all-time. Ymmv. [Reply]
