They're gonna shit the bed at least one more time this year but on any given night they seem to be able to beat anyone in the country. And they can do it in different ways. We've seen them play great defense, get hot from deep, do it inside, drive/dish, win with ball movement.
They don't seem to have only one way to win. I'd say their ceiling depends on their shooting but that goes for literally every team in the country.

Barrett is gonna be good but he’s just young right now. Perkins just can’t quite handle the ball good enough for a pg. we need Ant to play because he can handle and can shoot from deep which it looks like Barrett can’t yet. He missed a big three that would’ve cut it to a 3 point game late and it looked ugly on a great look from Grill.
Also we have to hit our free throws for the love of God. Killed us last night. Well that and the number four team on the road shooting over 70% from three. [Reply]
Disappointed that we lost, but I expected it. I was just hoping that we would keep it competitive and we did. They really had to work for that victory. No shame in losing on the road to the #4 team. Our guys know that could have and should have won that game.
Now, take care of business against A&M on Saturday. [Reply]

Yeah - the Texas game and TN game both were times when I'm watching Barrett out there as the game is in the balance thinking "Man, we HAVE to get this kid off the floor..."
And sho 'nuff, he duffs a look he really needed to hit for a shot at winning that game. You'd have heard buttholes pucker in Knoxville from all the way in CoMo had that shot fallen and we HAVE the guys to hit it. We just didn't put it in their hands.
Barrett is still a fun young prospect, but he's not ready. We need to stop acting like he is. [Reply]

The 2nd run really hurt.
You knew you weren't getting through a road game against a top 5 team without them putting on a run. Suddenly we went from up 10 to down 7ish. Then we pulled it to within 3 and lost the plot again.
They answered the first run and that's what good teams do to win those tough road games. But then they allowed the 2nd run and you really just can't do that against excellent teams on the road.
Oh well -- shouldn't be any harm done. They acquitted themselves nicely in that game and battled their asses off to the end. Tennessee is good and we didn't play quite well enough for the full 40 minutes to steal it. Shit happens. [Reply]

Ant should have been playing more, but he only had 6 minutes on the floor because he keeps fucking fouling lol. He's had 30 fouls in his last 8 games, so he's averaging about 4 fouls a game. Idk what's gotten info him recently, because he only had 32 fouls in the 13 games before this stretch. Seems the SEC officials are calling more fouls.
We need him on the court, because he's our best ball handler and the guy had 4 fouls in 6 minutes of play time lol. That's insane. [Reply]
Man we have some really bad FT shooters on this team.
Also, while looking at stats I ran across a name that I had almost forgot was on the team. Aiden Shaw. That guy has become demoted to bench warmer. He's gotten 17 min in conference play. I'm betting he transfers out. [Reply]
