I discovered Lee Childs Jack Reacher stories about 10 years ago, what a great read. Usually we find Reacher hitch hiking, as he wanders the USA, somebody will eventually pick him up despite having a hulkish look at 6-6 260ish. And our story begins.
When I heard there was going to be a movie, yep, excited. But........Tom Cruise? How can the 5-8 170 (guessing) sell the huge Jack Reacher? In the stories the size of Reacher is a constant, we get it.....big bad hombre. Tom Cruise a big bad hombre......nay!
X pro rassler/current actor Dave Batista.....perfect.
If a movie is based on a literary character why not stay as close as possible to the story?
I guess the worst casting job ever was John Wayne as Ghanghis Ghan, What were they thinking? [Reply]
I almost started this new season tonight. I told the wife we should watch it, she says we never watched season 2. We did, but the only thing I remember about it was that it wasn't that great. Hope this new season is better because I'm sick of watching shows that I can't even remember if I watched or not. [Reply]
I forgot you don't get the whole season, so we watched the 3 available episodes...and I'm pissed! I actually want to know what gonna happen. It is much like season 1 in that regard, though season 2 was passably good, this one is better. So far anyway. [Reply]
I’m just glad he hasn’t figured out someone’s password in three tries. That was the bar I needed them to clear and so far they’ve far surpassed it. [Reply]

That was such a roll your eyes moment for me. I think that is when I was like, this show needs some better writers.
If someone comes in here to tell me... that is how it was in the books... grrr... I don't care. The show has writers, they can adapt it to be better for TV(or streaming)... or just better in general. [Reply]

Meh. Nitpick.
That "someone" was a close friend of the entire team.
If you don't have a friend whose password you can crack in 3 attempts, you probably either have no friends, or you're too self absorbed to actually know anything about your friends and retain the information.
Christ, I've had employees that I was able to figure out their password within 5 attempts before it has to be submitted to HR for reset.
Your complaint should be with the personal nature of the password the guy chose for something important, not that a couple of his best friends were able to guess it. [Reply]

Sorry, but that's absurd. Personally, I don't have friends that dumb. And for any place of employment you really shouldn't allow your employees to use simple dictionary word passwords in this day and age. Password requirements are more important than ever. Even better, enable MFA. Having a system so weak that you are able to guess employee passwords means the IT department isn't taking it seriously enough. Not to mention, unauthorized access of user accounts can get you into legal trouble in many situations. [Reply]
