Yeah, he's had at least a couple seasons with a few bad fumbles here and there, and of course several bad drops last season... and then hits 21mph in the Super Bowl when they needed him the most.
Of course he's nearing the end of his career and of course he isn't the same player as 5 years ago or maybe even a couple seasons ago... I just don't care much until the playoffs, and even then I know the guy will give it everything he has left in the tank to win. We just won't know exactly how much is left until then [Reply]

I think there are issues between Mahomes and Travis. Partly because Travis has eclipsed Mahomes in terms of attention and Brittany speaking out as pro-Trump while Taylor was trashed by Trump. Travis values loyalty & Mahomes hasn’t seemed loyal lately.
Stick to listening to Taylor Swift you moron... [Reply]
The way it’s shaping up this could be his last season. If true then I think relying less on him in the regular season might not be all bad. They can wean themselves off of total reliance on him and shift focus to other players. He then gives all he has left in the playoffs while helping this team 3-Peat. [Reply]
3 Weeks in and he hasn't been productive. I do believe the Chiefs when they say there's reason for that.
BUT....i paid attention to him last night after all the chatter here about it....i do think he's looking slow in his routes.
Im HOPING it's because he's focused on dragging defenders to areas and creating space for Rice rather than running hard routes. Though the realist in me knows that even if that were true, that certainly couldn't be happening every route.
But....one thing i do know is that early season typically doesn't mean a whole lot. It's concerning, but im not ready to put a nail in him yet. [Reply]

Travis is pretty Type A.
Type A personalities have fun when they're doing things they're good at. And when they don't do that thing well, a lot of the time they just stop doing it.
Kelce loves football...but he's been pretty much a badass at it for a decade. It's gonna be interesting to see how he handles this decline. Because it's here - many of us (you included) commented on it last season and it's accelerated this season.
Is he gonna say the right things but kinda fade away? Or when he says the kind of coach-speak things like "The work is what makes it fun..." does he actually mean that?
I don't think any of us can truly know.
Because last year being a stud looked difficult for him for the first time. But he was still a stud.
Now simply being out there looks hard. The game is looking tough for him. That's new for us and its definitely new for him. [Reply]
I'm there - we are in the beginning stages of Kelce not at his HoF caliber self every time he steps on the field.
I've not given up on him by any means, his long reception looked like vintage Kelce, but I'm not going to hold out hope that he'll whip into 2021 shape just because that's what he does after a few weeks.
It's time to get Gray and Wiley way more involved/included as route runners going forward. [Reply]
Based entirely on this clip I would bet money that he's done after this season. I think he'll turn it on in the playoffs and give us at least one last vintage Kelce performance, but whether we three-peat or not, he's getting old (he's almost as old as me!!!) and he has other interests to pursue and it feels like it's time. Just hope Beach and Reid have a good plan to replace him! [Reply]

He's being replaced by Rashee Rice, Rice is running a ton of the same routes. [Reply]
