You are so right. He looks like a 7th grader. If he had played football his whole life that would have been coached out of him. Take decisive, efficient cuts.
The good news is that can be learned, even if it takes a couple years. Probably part of why Mahomes and Reid say things like he's come really far but has a long way to go still.
But the promise of his size, speed and ability to catch makes me think you keep him around and see what happens.
Even a phenomenal talent like Mahomes had footwork at college level that so called experts claimed would need to be radically changed in order to succeed in the NFL.
Doing things a bit differently can be major strength instead of a weakness if you are gifted enough. [Reply]

Went back and looked at his 40 yard dash time and it's a blazing 4.21?
While this article is pretty dated and some of the times a bit questionable, it's still pretty dang impressive

Yeah, the :40 times from that era were a little suspect; I think those were all hand-timed back then, so a certain degree of human error was possible. Beebe was the fastest WR in his time, imo. Watched him play enough in those four SB appearances to believe that 100%.
I completely forgot about Darrell Green though. That guy was the fastest guy I've ever seen on a football field. [Reply]
