Nzoner's Game Room>Andy Reid called me, and he asked CP to fix the offense.
Direckshun 07:39 AM Today
I think we can all agree the offense has not been up to par this season.

At this point, there's only so much we can do about it. Our best WR got injured and is missing the season, our best RB is out until December, our LT situation is messy and our stud TE is looking his age.

So, is this who we are now? Is 30 points a game a distant memory?

What can be done?

(Andy Reid is lurking in this thread, so make sure you're on your best behavior.)

Don't even know at this point. There's been a handful of players on both sides of the ball that don't look anywhere close to game shape. It's not just isolated to the Chiefs either, it's an epidemic league wide.

Looks pretty much like Hardman on the rare occasion he's found some space in the return game.

I dunno - I think we all wondered if those low body injuries didn't sap his burst. And maybe they have and it hasn't been as noticeable in a return situation.

But he doesn't look slow to me. Without ever seeing him in the offense, it's hard to really draw any conclusions either way.

We just gotta give it time and enjoy that they're winning in spite of mid offense the past couple weeks.

The Patriots used to do this every September and would often go 2-2. But they always were ready when it mattered.

That's interesting.
Thanks!

For those deep routes everyone wants to throw to develop, the qb is gonna have to sit in the pocket and trust the guys up front

He clearly doesn’t

I'd personally be thrilled with some 15-20 yarders actually.

Worthy on the deep out or dig should be a doable thing.

We literally just need to execute better. Like...that's it.

There was another 100 yards passing and a couple of TD's there for the taking last night, and we just...didn't take it.

It's JUST sloppy execution, and with little contact in camp, and one less pre-season game, and the salary cap meaning you have new parts every year that you have to integrate, I'm not all that worried.

I think Hardman is just...Gump-like. There's no other conclusion I can come to.

He's just not smart enough to work in this offense.

I’m going to attack the Golden Goose here.

Patrick’s fundamentals were terrible last night (hey, remember he said it first).

The interception was just atrocious. He had a little pressure in his face but he threw it off his back foot and just lobbed it up for grabs. It’s a throw you might see him make in training camp. You certainly don’t expect a player of his caliber to be doing that during a game.

Lazy throws have been a theme for him this year. He’s letting his footwork get sloppy again, and it’s costing him accuracy. The deep shot to Worthy for instance should have been a touchdown, but he didn’t step into it and woefully underthrew it.

I’m never going to accuse him of mailing it in, but he needs to be more focused and sharp. He knows it. He said as much at the press conference.

Point being, yes the receiving corp is marginal again. Yes the o-line has holes. Yes defenses are playing him to keep everything underneath.

But he’s leaving A-LOT on the field. He needs to be better and I trust he will.

Teams have years of tape on Patrick and the offense. Defenses are giving teams a lot of different pre-snap looks and then shifting coverages. It's going to take time for offenses to adjust. Drafting 28-32 in each round limits the talent available. The Chiefs have been really good at finding talent in the later rounds.

I'm guilty of being frustrated with the offense and the lack of big plays. I'm learning to accept that this is due to the change in defense and the success the team has had. If Kelce is getting doubled, then someone else needs to step up. This is a given because Travis will be gone at some point and sooner than later.

The Chiefs are beating the odds on winning the close games and regardless of what the talking heads are saying, it's not because of luck or penalties. They just have the stuff to make plays when necessary and play as a team.

Chiefs offense in the 4th quarter vs the Falcons…

9 plays, 3 yards of total offense and zero first downs.

As far as I know, there are no decent left tackles available for trade. But man, if one of the tanking trans would trade one, that would be the best thing. I think that Pat's struggles are mostly do to the left tackle position being a turnstile for pass rushers. Fixing that would do more than anything to help us

I guess that BWillie thinks that we should trade our overrated quarterback. Apparently he's just a product of Kelce, Hill and Andy Reid.
