Hello thanks so much for being interested in these positions. The dog rescue center specializes in abused and abandoned dogs, but they also have a kennel. It is located on a private property not far from park street. There are 3 positions available; PT Behaviorist Helper, FT General duties, PT General duties. Almost all of the dogs at this shelter have been abused, so it is very important that we assess your skills in animal handling. As 1 person may believe it's ok to give a disobedient dog a quick "pop on the nose", another person may may believe a stern "NO" is the the answer to dealing with a disobedient dog. In other words, people believe in different ways to handle dogs, this is why the client wants us to make sure we hire the candidate that will help rehabilitate these dogs instead of a candidate who will unknowingly be adding to the dogs traumatic experiences by mis handling them.

3. Proof of schooled/tested experience with animal safety/handling OR you may take a pet safety skills exam.
