Also , that new character Rose (the asian chick) was terrible. Just a drawn up try hard SJW that Rian Johnson apparently needed to add to the Star Wars universe .
God this film sucked so much. I wanted to vomit in my popcorn at that cheesy ass ending too.
How is it SJW for Asian people to exist? She did nothing in that movie that could possibly offend you except exist. [Reply]

:-) the only reason Rose exists is to throw a wrench into Rey/Finn. Can't have a good space epic without drama. [Reply]

This was the least expected, and it felt gross.
It didn't sit right with him either obviously for all the reason's you just stated (against Jedi ideals, not who he is... etc.). Which is why he didn't do it.
Now for the hypothetical debate... should he have? Not unlike the debate, "If you had a chance to go back and kill Hilter as a child, would you?" [Reply]

The Jedi weren't infallible and as Luke pointed out, their hubris (and his) was their downfall.
And... not completely unprecedented. I just read a SW book, "Dark Disciple", (canon) in which Yoda and the jedi council send a jedi to assassinate Doku. Very un-jedi like thing to do. [Reply]
Just saw it. It was okay. They literally need to hire some superfans for plot weaknesses.
So Rey in 2 days learned everything she needs to know to become a Jedi? Per Yoda even.
How did the emperor's ship hit the cargo ships? Last I saw they were out of range. Maybe I missed that part.
So, a ship going into hyperjump and ramming can do that much damage? Damn near defeated the fleet. If it has that much destructive force and can be piloted by one person. Why wouldn't you do that all the time?
The rebel base. Okay only one way in out once doors close. How the **** did everyone get outside in trenches and into ships?
I enjoyed kylo, if they are going for attention seeking, angst villian. No one truly fears him yet. He should of owned up to killing snoke. I am excited as I have no idea what he does next. Or how big the rebel fleet in the outer rim is. Mandalorians helping next movie?
Glad to see Poe's character step up.
I think they are wasting chewies character.
Why the **** even have phantasma or whatever her name is. Worse than boba Fett in not doing anything.
Force ghosts, explain why they all vanished. Luke should have had the help of at least 2 of them to teach. This needs explaining.

Some how Rey goes toe to toe with Kylo who has had training from Snoke and Luke.
Rey is just some random mary sue with no back ground to explain her untold power. [Reply]

I'm pretty sure that Rian Johnson is a superfan.

She has the jedi texts... Yoda knew it which is why he says "she has everything she needs" or something like that. What I can't figure out is if he was purposefully trying to keep the knowledge that Rey had the texts from Luke - which is why he flamed the tree? Why would Yoda care if Luke found out Rey took the texts? If he doesn't care, then why bother striking the tree with lightning at all?

They were out of range to do any damage to the larger shielded "mother ship". but the transports had no shields.

This is no doubt a bit of a hole. Would have preferred it if Leia was horrified at the act because of some tear or something it would create in the universe. Something that made it seem like there was a very good reason, we just don't do that... ever - even in the face of planet-killing star destroyers. I think I'd have preferred it if Holdo just moved the ship in between the path of the transports and the FO to allow them to escape. Only reason I thing Rian went the way he did, was to try to level the playing field a little between the FO and the shredded resistance. Make each of them go back to their corners and lick their wounds a bit. But it's a plot hole, no question.

Maybe they opened the door, let everyone out, and then closed it again?

Why not? That's like saying "Why even have Ned Stark if you're just going to be-head him in the first season." If no major-ish characters ever die then these kinds of battles ring hollow.

I don't get the impression that Force Ghosts in the Star Wars universe just have free reign to hang out as much as they want (like ghosts in Harry Potter). They seem to come and go when the situation is great or otherwise demands it. [Reply]

We have beat this horse to death. How do you explain Anakin's ability to race pod racers as a child? Where was his extensive training to do that?
Where was luke's training to switch off his targeting computer and use the force to make that insane shot on the death star?
People who are force sensitive, seem to be able to do things others can't do. Ren is the one who opened the door for Rey when he tried to read her mind and she found, much to her surprise, that she was able to resist him. Like someone discovering late they know how to sing without having had any voice coaches.
Once Ren opened that door, Rey immediately starts to push and test that new skill. An "Awakening". Where have I heard that? [Reply]
