Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

At this point, Howard has zero awareness outside his studio and his Hamptons mansion. I think Ronnie the Limo driver drapes a shade over him like a parakeet for the trips to and from.
Forget understanding the Midwest, let alone Kansas. You could drop him off anywhere in the five boroughs more than 5 blocks from his Sirius/XM studio and he'd be utterly lost.
But then, he's always been a recluse. Clear back in the 80s/90s he lost his first marriage fuming in the basement the whole time he wasn't on-air. [Reply]

Are you saying he is the greatest of all time for a player at this stage of his career? Because you can make that argument. If you are saying he is the greatest QB of all time already then that is fucking stupid. [Reply]

I was thinking the same thing. The part where she said Patrick was thinking "when is my contract up, get me out of here". Not everybody wants to live in the shit hole that is New York. [Reply]

What was the part where she said he doesn’t even want to be there, it’s who drafted him.

I live near NY and my skin crawls just being there, let alone living in it. [Reply]

Mahomes thrived outside the pocket. There he threw 14 touchdown passes and for 996 yards, the most in both categories for any quarterback in the past 10 years.

Stop being so dramatic. I’ve lived in NY for 15 years. Mahomes will stay in KC because it’s the city that gave him a chance, that embraced him, that welcomed him, that supported him, that celebrated him. He understands sports history and the significance of being that guy for an entire career in a single town, and KC has been thirsting for this forever. It’s a match made in heaven. A city desperate for THIS EXACT PERSON, and a guy with the make up and talent to want to live up to every fantasy expectation. He’ll stay in KC because of what KC is and represents. New York is noise. [Reply]

East coast intelligence.
It's been pointed out that Mahomes and his agent were actually HOPING that a smaller market team would draft him. The guy is from a small town in Texas, Kansas City probably seems like a big city to him.
He's just fine where he is thank you very much. [Reply]
My point was not to shit on New York in general, that's just a different kind of ignorance. Like people here who talk about "Hollyweird" as if the 18 million people in the greater Los Angeles area are all doing hot yoga all day and following the Kardashians every move on Instagram.
Also if I could afford to live in Brooklyn Heights I'd move there in a second. [Reply]

Yeah, okay. But you still do hot yoga, right? :-) [Reply]
I do this thing called hot doga it's like hot yoga but I'm the instructor and I rub my crotch on the students' faces while spouting yoga terms like "chakra" and they totally buy it and let me get away with it. [Reply]
