Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Now that Mahomes is *the* franchise QB in the NFL, I kind of think we are going to be the beneficiary of some bogus roughing the passer calls...let's hope they happen at opportune times. [Reply]
It’s makes me happy he is a god fearing young man, I know for those who don’t believe it what ever. But I have hope he turns out like (better) Roger Staubach [Reply]

I still have no clue how the Kansas City Chiefs got this kid.
He's not only the best thing to maybe ever happen to Kansas City sports, but arguably the best thing to happen to the NFL in more than a decade. The offensive revolution saw the ratings bounce back in a big way this year, and this kid is the poster child of it all.
We might legitimately have the NFL's version of LeBron James playing on our football team, you guys. [Reply]

You can thank your Wally for that, Mr. Strongside.
I honestly believe that if you conducted an unbiased poll of fans (who couldn't vote for their own team's players), Mahomes would emerge as the most popular player in the league.

I read this over and over with a smile on my face.

I haven't been this excited about any KC professional athletes since George Brett/Bo Jackson.:-) [Reply]

I would say he's more Jordan/Gretzky than LeBron IMHO [Reply]
