Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Exactly this. He just wants you talking about him. I suspect him liking OU is part of it too since Pat forced Baker there. Plus he’s stuck with Dak. [Reply]

He made it his job 24/7 to hate Mahomes from January through April of 2017. This just wasn't a dude pumping out continual bad takes like Bayless. He tried to eviscerate one guy and hope that his take came true so people would pay attention to him.
Cian Fahey is a well known idiot who is inexplicably touted as some sort of NFL expert so I decided to dig back through some old tweets of his plus a pre-draft article he wrote on Mahomes and he did not disappoint. pic.twitter.com/FoTONyBMEK
To Patrick’s point... plenty of people were meh on this QB class, but I’ll never forget when I was in Buffalo and heard Cian Fahey on WGR give his opinion. Listening to this now is 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/5WEeTclMHC
Stephen A. Smith, Cowherd, and Whitlock like fucking with people for ratings.
Bayless on the other hand absolutely believes in his bullshit opinions wholeheartedly.
If you look at the other pundits mannerisms you catch them smirking at times because they know they're blowing wind with no substance.
Mahomes says in this NFL Live interview that he had great conversations with guys like Calais Campbell and Eric Weddle at the Pro Bowl... https://youtu.be/fu3821r1UXI

If he keeps playing, it isn’t for the money. I’d say he could be had for a really good deal. [Reply]

He has one more year on the deal with Baltimore for 8.25 million. I don't know about Baltimore's cap space or who they have in the wings at safety, but that seems a little pricey.
If he's cut and even if he did make the Pro Bowl, he's still 34 years old. I'd have have to think we wouldn't be in the market to offer him much.
But geez... that's ONE way to get competent safety play. Holy shit balls that would be nice if he played for us like he did in 2018. [Reply]
I’d try to sign Weddle as a cheap bandaid with high upside for 2019. Insurance for if you can’t find a long term solution in the draft this year.
A month ago, Weddle said he’d either play for Baltimore or retire. Now, he goes to the Pro Bowl, and says that he’d be open to playing elsewhere in 2019.
I think he wants to try to win, and I think he wants to do it with Mahomes. [Reply]
