Year Two of the Matt Quatraro tenure. Time to take a step up this year. Active in free agency and trades this offseason. A new look pitching rotation and bullpen. Will the young players take the leap up offensively? Bobby Witt extension? New stadium? Will Vinny recover from injury? Salvy taking aim at the Royals record book? Will Cole Ragans turn into the best Royals starting pitcher since Greinke 1.0?

Neris has a $9 million club option for 2025 so claiming him wouldn't be that much of a risk because you can dump him if he doesn't pitch to par. [Reply]

So, Cleveland @ Yankees; Boston @ Houston; Twins @ Padres = score board watching AFTER, and only after, we smack the Angels around. (Hopefully) :-) [Reply]

Yup. Whitey and George famously went to the Chiefs game together. And when the game was finished, they walked across the parking lot to then Royals Stadium, got on the elevator to the clubhouses, and then parted ways as one team got ready for game 7, while the other team didn’t bother to show up. While reading the article it stated “Crawford, 36, blah blah”.
I cannot believe that MF’er is 36. 10 years ago the threat of his arm is the only thing that kept Alex Gordon from tying game 7 when Gregor Blanco and Travis Ishakawa played Benny Hill in the outfield.
Of the 25 worst reliever ERAs since the All-Star break, the Royals have three of them - Angel Zerpa (8.38), James McArthur (7.15), and Will Smith (6.52).
