Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?
Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? [Reply]

What is a limiting plug? You mean like a magazine limiter? My 930 came with a 10 round capacity with no plug. [Reply]

About 10 years ago I bought a little 20 gauge turkey gun. The first thing I did with it was to take the plug out of it so it would hold 6 shells rather than 3 (4 maybe?). I'm not sure, but I "believe" that they no longer even come with plugs - but I could be wrong.
I keep a 12 gauge pump by the bed - and I did the same thing with it, as well. [Reply]

Every shotgun I've purchased has had one. I watched a Youtube video for the exact gun I have showing how to remove it but mine doesn't have one. Makes me feel like I paid for a new shotgun that's been used. [Reply]

Well, I would guess that you should take the gun back to where you bought it and ask them about it....other than that, :-) [Reply]

Call or email Mossberg with the model number and find out if it came from the factory with a plug. [Reply]
With so many various new gun laws all around this country these days, I may have missed something. However, I believe the only legal reason for a plug is to limit the shotgun to a total of 3 shells for the purpose of waterfowl hunting [Reply]
The only time shotgun magazines have to be limited are if they are imported. Most importers change the tubes or add extensions though. You can easily tell from the action and extractor if its ever been fired. [Reply]
Only time you're limited that I know of is if you're hunting migratory game birds. If your shotgun holds more than 3 rounds you have to have a plug. A tactical Mossberg 500 should hold 6 to 8 rounds depending on model and shell length and probably didn't come with a plug. [Reply]

Are you going to hunt with it? You need to have the plug if you do but that's a tactical defense shotgun not sure it applies. [Reply]
Just got my tax refund today. Fuck am I twitchy right now. It's not helping that one of my regular sites has a Springfield EMP on sale for $800.
But I promised the wife that after she didn't give me any grief for going to the AFC Championship Game, I wouldn't get any new guns this year. Or did I say "for a while"?
I'm sure I meant to say "for a while." :-) [Reply]
