Elway didn’t have to overpay Manningstein because of the health concerns teams had. And the only reason Ware signed a team friendly deal, was because of Manningstein and the Super Bowl window he opened for players there.
That is not at all the situation for Denver now. Denver has a limited offense with a rag tag O-Line. The best FA QB on the market is not signing there unless he gets paid very well to do so.
IF he signs there, he’ll get a lot closer to 30 than 25. Bank on that. [Reply]

Disagree.
1) Alex has proven that he can teach up a youngster.
2) Alex has proven that he can win some regular season ball games. He can get a team into the dance at least. Josh McCown not so much.

Because it worked to a certain degree. It definitely turned the franchise around and got it headed the right direction. Exactly what he needs to do at the factory of sadness. [Reply]

Both you and John Elway thought the same thing about Trevor Siemian this year. How’d that turn out? [Reply]

I don't know. Kaepernick, Murray, Bray, and Hogan are pretty terrible and the jury is still out on Mahomes.

2 birds....one stone
Is going 9-7 instead of 6-10 really worth $17M and a 2nd round draft pick? [Reply]

To Browns fans? Their team went winless. They have been the laughingstock of the NFL for many years. If you told them they could go 9-7 this year and compete for a playoff spot and all it took was trading one of their many seconds for Alex and taking on his salary for one year, I’m pretty sure ALL of them would be in favor of that, as long as they knew they were working on developing their QBOTF behind him.
