Is there any indication the Chiefs are looking to cut Smith to save a little cash that can easily be restructured??? It's a small sacrifice that will pay huge dividends for Mahomes.

Here's the magic fucking word... wait for it...
COMFORTABLE
Alex Smith was given an offseason to learn this offense when he was completely unfamiliar with it. Same goes for Chase Daniel.
Mahomes will refine his knowledge of reading defenses and hone his footwork and mechanics. As soon as he's done with that, Reid will turn him loose. If that's next season, then you bet your fucking ass that Reid's going to try to expedite the process by getting Mahomes on the field. [Reply]
Except Smith learned at least 6 different playbooks from different OC's before entering into Reid's WCO so he already knew a lot of different language. He also already understood read option from college. Big difference. [Reply]

Why does the media, like you just did, keep saying we we traded 2 firsts for the guy? It sounds like the chiefs didn't have a first round pick this year at all until they traded two of them to get the #10 pick.
I get it, it's technically two firsts, but it's for a higher first, so they kept one first and made it better/higher.
Additionally the tiger witch hunt is getting old. It's an odd gangbang to watch replay out every thread that turns to Alex.
I'll say this; PMII will play when Andy is ready to play him. It could be halfway through this season it might be halfway through 2019. Barring injury, Alex is his guy until PMII shows Reid enough on the practice field and the film room to give him some playing time in a game. It could start with some random plays, it could be opening day 2017, 2018, etc. the childish back and forth is just dumb on all parties.
