Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?
Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? [Reply]

30 carbine is the funnest of the US WWII rifle's
Garands are a big heavy weapon that can bite your thumb.
I cant imagine carrying a BAR all around Europe, plus the ammo to feed the beast. [Reply]
Bought my first AR-15 yesterday at Cabela's. DPMS Oracle for 549.99. Now I need sites, and a sling...found some sites on Amazon, cuz man are they expensive at Cabelas...anyway, I'm pumped!! [Reply]

Yes they are.
Palmetto makes the best budget flip-up sights IMO. [Reply]

I never thought I would be a big fan of the AR platform until I built a varmint rifle several years back. It is a blast to shoot and accurate as hell. You'll like it. [Reply]
Yeah, I bought a DPMS 308 a while back to go along with my AR15. I absolutely LOVE the 7.62 platform. DPMS gets a bad rap but I don't really understand why. Mine (the AR10) so far, is accurate as hell out to 800 yards with a good scope. Just be careful with your new gun. Don't be one of "those" guys with 18 pounds of crap on yours. :-)
Also, Palmetto State is a good place for parts should you need them. [Reply]

There is absolutely nothing wrong with DPMS.
One of my most accurate rifles has a 16" DPMS bull barrel. 1/2" all day long.
My father owns a 24" DPMS .308 Bull. Thing is a fucking tack driver.
I recently purchased a .260 DPMS 24". Still breaking in the barrel, but it looks very promising so far. [Reply]
Here is a video of me shooting a AR-10 with a 20"SASS barrel last summer. I hooked my Iphone up to an adapter on my spotting scope, and the result is pretty cool. You can see the shockwave of the bullet all the way to the target.
It's not my most accurate gun, but it will nail a plate out to 600 no problem. [Reply]
So I got a good deal on a 1911 R1 Enhanced about a month ago..$600..been shooting it with all kinds of different ammo..putting it through its paces since it will become a carry gun for me
So far it has been flawless through close to 1200 rounds..all kinds of ammo..factory loads and hand loads..FMJ and hollow point..self defense rounds..no issues feeding or ejection
I have just broke it down and wiped it off lightly and little bit of oil after about each 200 rounds..I guess it's a slight torture test to make sure it holds up [Reply]

What about from a handgun standpoint? Any thoughts on that? Best places to purchase something? [Reply]
I have no idea where to get a good deal in your state.
I can tell you the most accurate hand gun I've ever shot was a Dessert Eagle in 357 mag. We were smashing apples at a 100 yards. [Reply]
