tk13 03:29 PM 08-07-2016
This is horrifying. Supposed to be a press conference soon with more details. Rumors seem to indicate it happened on the Verrukt, the world's tallest waterslide.

Boy, 12, killed in accident at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City, Kan., police say. https://t.co/Msn6QJO1ZS pic.twitter.com/gse0gZvIC6

Kid was probably 70 lbs or so. So need 330 from the two women.

I dont see myself letting my 10 year old son ride that thing but if I did as a parent I would want to be on board.

Pretty much how I feel.

I read somewhere that his parents were in the park but let him go off alone with his older brother. That's ok, but I wonder if they would have given him authority to ride it in person ?

I'm pondering the physics. If the kid in front was light and if the woman in the back was large, I wonder if there's a chance of the front end rising up enough to push the kid into the netting.

It does, but it's at the bottom of the first hill where the net isn't present

I just caught the end of it, but I believe the news just showed a mid ride picture of an unrelated adult rider who had his harness come undone.
