I hope that this doesn't seem insensitive, but I was not aware that Jim was ill. Seeing as how I've been around here for 9 years, I'll assume other may not be aware of what caused his untimely decline. Just for the sake of awareness, could someone elaborate on his illness?
This comes as a complete shock to me....I'm sad that I neglected to notice his inactivity. :-) [Reply]
I never met your father James and it is strange to feel sadness over someone I have never met. That said he is one of the first people I talked to when I first posted here years ago. I enjoyed the time I spent with him and considered him a friend. I would guess Lamar Hunt is getting a ear full tonight! My prayers are with all those who loved him. [Reply]

I'm not sure the full story has ever been divulged. James hinted at an infection of sorts back in this thread:
He straight up told me that he was on dialysis several years ago. Don't know the cause but he was sick for a long time even though he didn't like to show that weakness here on the board. He like to be invincible out there and I know this place provided him a ton of enjoyment.
Logical and I loved to give each other a hard time. I know it brought joy to his life. I will miss you fucker. You rocked man. Much love and respect. [Reply]
Please accept my heartfelt condolences, James. Your dad was a good man. He will be missed. His presence here, and his contributions to this board and community will mean more than you or he will ever know. I'm embarrassed to admit it took this, for me to realize how much this place has meant to me--and how much I have yet to learn about life. God bless you and your family, James. And Godspeed to your father.
