Denver wasn’t the only city paying attention to Broncos outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware terrorizing the opposing quarterback. Some executives in New York noticed, too.
Ware, 33, was honored with September’s AFC Defensive Player of the Month award Thursday, his first player of the year award in his 11-year pro career.
The seemingly ageless pass rusher leads the Broncos with 3 1/2 sacks this season, which also places him second in the NFL. Ware also added a league leading 11 quarterback hits.
