Spoiler!
The Browns should draft Wyoming quarterback No. 1 overall, a high-level NFL personnel executive told cleveland.com, and ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. feels the same, according to his first mock draft released on Thursday.
The NFL exec, who told cleveland.com at the Senior Bowl in January of 2016 that the Browns would be set for the next 15 years if they drafted Carson Wentz, said "Allen is the best and it's not even close.''
He ranks him ahead of USC's Sam Darnold, whom most experts believe the Browns will draft at No. 1; and UCLA's Josh Rosen, whom many have the Giants taking at No. 2.
"I believe (John) Dorsey will block out the noise and take the best guy (in Allen),'' said the exec. "And the Browns will be good very soon.''
He also said "the best comp for Allen (6-5, 233) is Big Ben (Roethlisberger) when he came out of college.''
He added that he never saw Darnold "as a No. 1.''
Kiper surprised a lot of folks by going with Allen to the Browns at No. 1 overall in his Mock 1.0 on Thursday -- and fellow ESPN expert Todd McShay didn't fight him on it.
"When you look at who finished the strongest of the top three quarterbacks, he did,'' said Kiper. "You can say, 'Well, he had the shoulder injury.' He did. But he came back from the shoulder against Central Michigan and he lit it up. Made NFL throws, showed tremendous competitiveness. Remember, beginning of the year, they were missing key starters at running back, wide receiver, tight end and center. That's why he had some struggles against Iowa starting out the season.''

The guy is gonna cut Talib and have to watch him shut Thomas down next year while Talib starts for KC.
Seriously...the ONLY good thing Elway has done as GM is sign Peyton Manning.
That’s it.
Without Manning, there would have BEEN NO success for Elfraud. AT ALL. He is truly terrible at his job, and his appeal as a brand is just about to wear off.
And when that happens, look for months and years of high quality yuk-yuks as Mahomes and Co. just WASTE this fucking clown and his clown show "team" for YEARS. [Reply]

Bolles can block his guy. I really don't worry about pressure coming from him on a consistent basis. Normally it's the RT and Max Garcia who are routinely getting beat.
Just every now and then Bolles doesn't let go when he should and gets called for holding, or someone gets him with a bull rush. That can get cleaned up. He doesn't get dominated on a down in and down out basis like Watson and Stephenson do sometimes. He can hold his own. [Reply]
With McCloughan living in CO now, and with him and Elway following each other on twitter (this happened within the past few weeks), I'd be surprised if they haven't talked about this.

But I know this, if I was going to play one game tomorrow, he’d be my guy — hands down.”
So now you're trying to pump smoke up Mayfields ass with the opinion of the guy who got fired from the fucking Redskins?!? Are you actually TRYING to be ridiculed? [Reply]

Do you know anything about McCloughan?
He's credited with building the Harbaugh 49ers and the SB48 Seahawks.
His alcoholism and Bruce Allen are why he's no longer in Washington. [Reply]

Taking your word for it, he's basically a less disciplined Eric Fisher. Not great, not terrible. Serviceable. [Reply]
