Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Pat Mahomes regularly evades 300-pound linemen with ease, but now he's facing a more formidable opponent: Tony the Tiger.
Mahomes, 23, is preparing to launch a signature breakfast cereal, "Patty Flakes," the second-year player's agent, Leigh Steinberg, said on the Bloomberg Business of Sports podcast.
It's not clear who will produce or market the cereal, but that industry may put Mahomes's charisma to the test. Kellogg Co. and General Mills Inc. have struggled to lift sluggish sales in recent years, hurt by consumers shifting to other breakfast options. The now-retired quarterback Doug Flutie had some success with "Flutie Flakes," though that was two decades ago. [Reply]

Well, you see, you have to be able to find something bad to say about Mahomes
I mean, he’s never had a pathetic performance yet.
He leads the NFL in touchdowns and yards
Has 3 game winning drives in 15 starts
Doesn’t get in trouble or cause controversy
Hard worker
Much better player than most anyone else thought was possible
...I mean, there has to be some negative spin, right? [Reply]

He’s a ****ing idiot. **** his stupid 0-3 stat. The Chiefs are 3-3 against probable playoff teams. He has had more than his fair share of ‘big moments’.
We’ve lost by a TOTAL of 7 points in our 3 losses and scored 118 points in those 3 games. You can throw some shade at him for the end of the Rams game (although I would throw more at Scandrick). It’s most certainly NOT Pat’s fault we lost those games. He did his job.
But then again they’re all (media types) trying HARD to push the narrative to get Drew Brees an MVP award as a lifetime achievement award, so that’s really what this is all about.
Anyone who has watched Pat and Drew for multiple games this year and comes to the conclusion that Drew has had a better season because of completion percentage and a few less INT’s is a fucking idiot. Period. [Reply]

And how did you love Berry’s “spirit” comments?
Wasn’t that just great to hear.

The last thing Mahomes needs is an inner circle stupidly bringing scrutiny to his private life. I don’t care if he parties/drinks, whatever. But his g/f is dumb as fuck to post party pictures or things that are best left private and potentially a tad controversial. Can’t get away with it in this day and age - there are too many people out there that would use this against him and the organization. This could be a one-off minor thing, but I’m sure Mahomes will be sat down and talked to by the brass about projecting a certain image. [Reply]
