That’s what Mahomes will do. He’ll revolutionize the position in time, because he’s already revolutionizing the way aspiring quarterbacks regard the things they could be able to do.
LIke MJ folks, we got ourselves MJ in his prime. If he can just win 1 SB, he'll win 5 more. :-)

Like, I didn’t find out about that shit until long after the draft... usually scouting reports pick up on something like that and it gets beaten to death as positives for a player.

So I think determining why 9 teams (really 10 teams if you include Buffalo) passed on him STARTS with the stigma about Texas Tech and the air raid. After that, you get a bunch of Eric Mangini idiots in scouting departments and coaching staffs who look at how he doesn’t play like how a QB is supposed to play regarding footwork, drop backs, throwing base, decision making, etc.

But in the end, I don’t believe that was the actual final nail in the coffin for any team deciding to not draft Mahomes. In the end, I think it was laziness.

10 teams had a chance to interview him like we did. They gave up on scouting him in the beginning stages and didn’t know he was this bright. They gave up early and invested their time in other players. They didn’t do their homework because putting research into the actual player would take a lot of time away from scouting a “surefire” good pick like Leonard Fournette or Solomon Thomas.

Funny thing is it looked the Niners really screwed the Bears with that trade, but it turns out Trubisky is pretty solid. Thomas is a bust for the Niners...and the Niners are overpaying Jimmy G. Either way, both of those teams blew it big time on Mahomes. Likewise with the Jaguars at #4 with Fournette instead of Mahomes.

To be fair, this was bullshit. Should have been roughing the passer.
Not only was he a step late, he seems to clearly lower his head to initiate contact with a defenseless player.

To me this non-call is just as bad as the ref missing Kelce being tackled by his facemask. How in the hell do you miss the player with the ball being yanked to the ground head first because the defender has a handful of facemask? Anyway, I digress.

The rules state:
Defenseless Player
Rule 12 - Section 2 - Article 7:

It is a foul if a player initiates unnecessary contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture.

Players in a defenseless posture are: A player in the act of or just after throwing a pass (passing posture)

Use of the Helmet
Article 8:
It is a foul if a player lowers his head to initiate and make contact with his helmet against an opponent.

He's only going to get $3 million more than Garappalo and Cousins? in 3 more years? You need a reality check.

That projection is way below what the market will be in 2022. He will get the biggest contract in the history of the NFL. Way beyond anything that came before him.

Comedy gold. Check out twitter. Titans fans claiming mariota looking off receivers is no look. Even Geoff Schwartz called them out on it. Have fun!

This. It's pretty much Mega Millions at the Mahomes household once that rookie contract expires.
