Spending 15% of your salary cap on a QB who can't get by Brady and Ben in the playoffs is a waste. You can spend half that and get a guy like Bradford and accomplish the exact same thing.
I'd love to have Cousins at $18M per year year. But at 25-30 million, I'd rather take my chances in the draft or get a stopgap and let Paxton and $wag Kelly develop 1 more year.

Elway refused to pay up for a QB for two seasons, and now look at the mess he's in.
A future HOF QB is not going to come down from the heavens and play for chump change like Manning did. That's not how the NFL works. You're basically fucked.

Broncos are in for a world of pain for years to come. No GM, no coach, no QB. That's a recipe for utter disaster even if the rest of the team has lots of young talent, which they don't. The worst thing is, that pile high air will be enough to eek out a few wins every year preventing them from the 1st pick and the QB they desperately need. [Reply]

Denver has way too many holes to draft a QB. Plus add in their Corners and WR are getting old and you have an expansion team level roster. Von got fat and happy as well. Bolles being an absolute disaster means they have to piss a top 5 pick away on a Tackle. [Reply]
I would love to see Cousins overpaid by the Donks. That $25-$30million figure sounds perfect. He would definitely be an improvement, but that contract would make it impossible to build a solid team around him. Add to that the fact that Mahomes will be so much better for KC, the Donks will continue to be the Chiefs bitch for years. [Reply]
