I am a little tired of this being only about Mahomes. People saying the Eagles TEAM is waaay better than the Chiefs if you don't account for QB. Bullshit. This is still a great team.
Karlaftis, Jones, and Omenihu are a great line.
Mike Pennel is there for great girth stopping run support.
Great interior line and Thuney stepping up like a boss. And HOFer.
Best TE of all time.
Two guys with blistering speed in Brown and Worthy.
Elite short yardage RB.
Top 3 minimum corner in the NFL and surely the best tackling one.
Great run stopping LBs.
HOF kicker.
2nd best coach of all time.
One of best defensive coordinators of all time. [Reply]

Didn’t he just say a couple days ago that he’s not retiring? Swear I read that on here. Said he sees himself playing in another 3 years (which is probably too long) but at least one more for the potential 4peat? Would love to see him go out on top though. But he’s so close to Rices records. Even in a diminished role, he’d be good for one last run.
But totally understandable if he does hang them up after this game. Nothing else to prove for him. He’s the goat TE, and will be missed in the locker room, and on the field. But damn. I’m not ready to say goodbye to 87 yet! [Reply]
If the Chiefs win tomorrow, I kinda hope Kelce does retire.
His age is starting to show. I don’t want one of those painful final seasons for him where he becomes really bad. Just hard to watch the greats struggle.
Win tomorrow and it’s hard to imagine going out on a higher note than that. [Reply]

Well, if he does, it looks like we'd only be on the hook for like $3m in dead money?
You could definitely bring back Hollywood and maybe even Dhop, too. [Reply]
The night before and I feel extremely confident gents. Coaching, QB, pass rush and special teams are unequivocally better and that’s what decides these games.
I think they come out on fire. They know what this one means. They’ve been waiting for it for an entire year. [Reply]

Idk man, he was being taken out schematically. Was easier to do when Rice got injured, and Worthy was still developing and trying to get on the same page as Patrick. But he also lost some of his speed/seperation ability. And also took the ball and fell down immediately, which I’m good with. No need to get injured before the real season starts.
We get Rice back and hopefully back to where he was before the injury, Worthy, Noah, and the TE we drafted this year we’ll be fine. But losing Pats security blanket will be sad. Nobody else on this team is locked into Pats brain, and sees the field the way 87 does. Will surely cause some tears if he does. Hope he gets some of those few remaining records tomorrow night and puts himself on top of those playoff receiving records. [Reply]

Yeah, I guess the thing is if teams are still double teaming him and he's still drawing a ton of attention, the old man can stand in the middle of the field and do that until the playoffs... [Reply]

I am genuinely torn. I fully agree with you, but thinking about the Chiefs without him on it feels weird. I would not be against him coming back one final year and splitting time with Gray/Wylie and breaking the last two playoff records that Rice owns. [Reply]

Kelce doesn’t suck. I don’t want to see him suck.
I’d rather he hang it up and leave us wanting a bit more while also going out on a historic high note.
The wheels will fall off eventually and it always is hard to watch legends become bad players.
He could absolutely still be a good player, but these guys seem to have a steady then immediate decline. [Reply]

Doctor David Chao has insisted that Brandon is being rushed back way too early and doesn't expect him to be anything close to 100% in this game. Infact he said if he's on the field "KC should run right at him". [Reply]

He’ll be rusty even if he’s healthy.
All it takes is one fuck up to bust a big play. Challenge him immediately. [Reply]
