Grunny was talking about the Chiefs draft picks on Friday and made a good point...Jehu Chesson is a lot like Conley. Tall WR who has good hands and has a great vertical.

Every one of them surrounded by more talent (by a long shot) than Mahomes in college. It's true Pat is more raw than a guy like Manning or Luck. That's precisely why Mahomes didn't go #1. The Chiefs never would have had a chance to draft him at #10 if he was polished like those guys.
But it's also true Manning/Luck and every other one you listed played with a bunch of 4 and 5 stars surrounding them in college. I'm a Tech person. That ISU game was miserable and Pat wasn't the only reason. The rest of the team played like total dog crap around him. That was the game our fanbase decided it's time to fire Kingsbury. His seat is hotter than hot and he needs a miracle in 2017 to keep his job. [Reply]

I am SO going to argue with you on this point and offer out that you are REALLY REACHING to use the Iowa State game to make whatever point you are attempting to make (trolling, perhaps?).
That game was a TOTAL breakdown by Texas Tech from the coach all the way down to the trainers and Gatorade bucket watchers. EVERYONE SUCKED that game that wore the double-T. EVERYONE.
Every top-shelf athlete has had miserable "can't get shit done" days. Walter Payton had them. Emmitt Smith had them. Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana, Marcus Allen, Jerry Rice. . .
