Houston has the worst rush D in the league. Look what Henry did. j/s

I would love to have a great all around OL. But in a salary capped league, some things just have to happen certain ways.
That's debatable at best.

Sure. Week 1 when he’s fresh. Do you want him to do that every week?

I don't want any back doing that. Did we learn nothing from the last 25 years?

So how much of this is chicken and egg? Of course the interior OL needs to be better. That's probably at least 75% of the problem. But could CEH be doing some things differently to improve the OL? For example, will leveons patient running style improve our OL or will we see that he's patiently waiting for holes that never develop?

It was just my observation that CEH has a tendency to attack quickly and to the middle. Leveon attacks slow and to the edges. Gives us two totally different looks, or do we need to mold CEH to be just a little more like leveon. I don't know the answers. Just asking the questions.

No it's not. Mahomes is good at eluding pass rushers. That's not the same thing.

Is Clyde upset about the Bell signing? I guess we will find out today.

Yes. and sometimes he drifts too deep or abandons the pocket too early. making them look worse than they are.

On some specific plays, sure. But when you aggregate all the plays, the net result is positive. Dramatically so.

Another instance where over 75% of the time OL is to blame. But id still like to see mahomes learn his pocket a little better. The one beautiful thing about the 60 yard deep dime he threw to tyreek which was maddeningly called back was its one of the few times I remember him stepping into a deep throw. It was also a brilliant display of mahomes sliding up in the pocket instead of back. As big of an arm as he has he hasn't been nearly productive on the real deep stuff and this is probably the reason why

Agreed. Its a delicate balance, so many of his great plays have come outside the pocket.

He's not going to do that every week. He plays for Andy Reid. Is Kareem Hunt a RB1 or a RB2?

If he's a RB1, why did he have 15 or less carries in almost half of his games as a Chief?

Nope.

Chiefs fan worships Derrick Henry. They pine for 1995.

It's just week 6.

There wasn't a true preseason with OTAs, mini-camp, etc.

Damien Williams was supposed to be RB1 this season. CEH was supposed to have time to learn, well, everything.

The OL is not what was supposed to be starting from day 1, with LDT opting out. It's been dinged and patched up twice now.

If this team needs to lean on a rookie RB to compile 100 yds rushing/game, at 5 yds/carry and a TD every other week, we were screwed before the season ever started.

He is in fact outperforming Damien's efforts from last year the same number of weeks in.

So far CEH is doing fine. He's finding his way, and the OL is finding its way. They'll meet in the middle eventually.
