Most of the time, I disagree with the Patriot Way however when it comes to aging veteran players who want huge contracts, it's time to let them go. The Chiefs don't have the same luxury as the Patriots; the AFC is absolutely loaded with talent however our division hasn't been great lately. Build through the draft and add some veteran players as necessary.
Thank you Chris Jones, enjoy your money and thanks for the memories. [Reply]

Also, thank you Chris for showing your ass. It makes the decision much easier. [Reply]
When you're getting gashed by the run like in the first half guys like Chris are going to struggle to get upfield in the rush. pretty sure Veech knew he would not reach that goal with little to no training camp. Chris will move on unless he comes to his senses and gets reasonable. [Reply]

The history of Jones' career also gave Veach a ton of confidence in him not reaching that goal. It's not a knock on Jones at all as I would love for him to be a Chief for life, but the 15 sack mark has happened only twice in his career and those seasons were not back to back. As of this moment Jones bet on himself and it looks like he might not reach some of those marks. [Reply]

He needed to play that way from the start to hit those numbers. Hell, DPOY was part of his incentives. He's not earning that in the last 5 games unless he racks up 10 more sacks [Reply]

There's a few outliers but for the most part....
Here are who I consider elite players on the KC roster:
Mahomes
Kelce
Humphrey
Jones
Sneed
McDuffie
Bolton
Thuney
2 are first round picks (Mahomes and McDuffie) and 1 the Chiefs overpaid for (Thuney). So out of 8 "elite" players, 3 fall into your high draft/overpay categories. [Reply]

I'd say the 2nd round is drafting high, but clearly youre on a rage fest so lets watch you cook. [Reply]

What about my post suggested rage? Is disagreeing with what you posted and providing evidence of why I disagree somehow classified as a rage event for you? [Reply]
