IK Andy and co. are in this groove of doing what needs done to win and living to fight another day, but I just think this is the ultimate opportunity to get your offense into a rhythm that can build onto next week.
Can we go out there and execute in a way that creates an expectation of success? Can you hit on a deep ball or two, at least one to Worthy, that makes those throws ones that both PM and X expect to complete moving forward?
It's one of the big differences between the O and D right now. The defense expects to dominate each week. The offense hopes to. When you have a confidence builder in front of you that has bad blood built in... take advantage. [Reply]
My biggest hope from the offense would be to see Worthy involved in some mid-range throws. Crossers, etc. The deep bombs are great and make no mistake I'd love to see that, but developing more of a route tree that can be more heavily relied upon would be the best outcome. We need him to become the WR1. [Reply]

Agree with the idea of getting him more involved and I am sure similar to Rice last year they may, but I think the beauty of the Hopkins add is Worthy does not need to be #1 this year anymore.
I think there is a lot of potential left to scratch with Worthy but I don't know that he can ever be high volume prototypical #1 type of WR - like Rashee was becoming.
And that is perfectly fine because he has unique traits that make his impact #1 esque even when he is just running routes. If you get a guy at pick #28 who scares the defense on every play, that's a big add. [Reply]

I like the trade for Hopkins, but I'm not sold he can be a WR1 anymore. Averaging less than 25 yards per game is something he never would have done when he was great, regardless of the QB situation. I'm just hoping he can be a serviceable chain mover who we obtained at a fair price.
Worthy on the other hand has a ceiling that is unknown but seems promising. [Reply]

Snap count has been an issue for Hopkins this year after the knee injury in camp. And maybe it continues, but I would think by Buffalo he is a full-time player for us largely.
When I say #1, it isn't in the sense that he's going to be a dominant 1000 yard guy here, but in terms of his targets. I expect him to lead everyone moving forward, including Kelce. [Reply]

I can't see how this game isn't 55-6. Raiders are in shambles. Like they have 1 good player on offense the rookie TE Bowers and Crosby been playing on a bad ankle. Andy might wanna consider to give some guys the game off or maybe let most sit the 2nd half. [Reply]

Wow you think Andy is going to act like he's playing a college team?
Well maybe he lets Mahomes sit the 2nd half as this game is in the bag already according to most. [Reply]
Montrell Washington has been elevated from the practice squad for this game. Ross has apparently been dealing with a hamstring issue so that would explain why he wasn't the guy but anyway Washington was quietly balling during camp. Getting downfield and catching bombs regularly. He did it against the Bears in preseason too. Gonna be interesting to see if he gets snaps with Pat or is just there for special teams.
