I mean "so I loved Mahomes so much I rigged the deck to make sure we drafted him..." may have a particularly strong ring to the team that took Trubisky over him...
I feel for Bears fans bc they were us…but worse. They never had a truly elite QB. And Ryan Pace traded up for Mitchell Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes.
God. I know Scott Pioli is ground zero for anger around here but he never did anything that egregious. [Reply]
The draft stories were awesome. I’ll never forget BOB’s face when they took Deshaun at 12
The mind games are so fascinating with the draft. Like how McDuffie didn’t even know we were interested
And IDK where I am on Nagy as far as being Reid’s heir. I would have never even considered it before this year, but the players do seem to love him [Reply]

Doesn't look like this is true though, looking at PFR.
Figured Chmura had to be one of them.
Looks like he had Chmura in '95 and Keith Jackson in '96 - so maybe a little massaging of the facts and/or faulty memory? Or maybe just having 2 Pro Bowl TEs on a single team even if they didn't make the Pro Bowl at the same time? Since Chmura was on the '96 team as well. [Reply]

Don’t feel too bad for Chicago. They got Michael Jordan after the Blazers picked Sam Bowie. Now they know how it feels to be on the wrong side of that deal, haha. [Reply]

But man, the guy goes to Philly and turns Chad Lewis into a perennial pro bowler.
Travis isn't kidding - maybe the most common element of Reid's offenses are exceptional TE play. I'd have never guessed that one.
Makes me worry a bit less about life after TK. [Reply]
