Felix Anudike-Uzomah was drafted with pick 31 of round 1 in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 8.73 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 209 out of 1634 DE from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/maz03OdBwqpic.twitter.com/xoMJ9ki2Pv

Im good with FAU and he was realistically one of the picks we expected, its just thinking for a little bit that Murphy, Nolan Smith, Mazi Smith, Anton Harrison, Bresee were all there. Hell at pick 19 it looked like a different draft for us, it was falling perfectly.
Hearing Veach say that they had 16-18 first rounders and FAU was one of them, makes me feel much better. They really liked him and thats great to hear.
Why WOULDNT he say that though. Of course he's going to say that. But to me that really means there was only 15-17 first rounders on his board. I think they went emotional with this pick.
We'll see. Hopefully he's an 7-10 sack guy for many years. Hopefully our 2nd and 3rd round picks are steals to relax the feeling of this one. [Reply]

Pretty meh pick.
Go sleep on it then watch his tape. Doesn’t feel like a reach at all. What did you have your heart set on? Ps I’m an Oklahoma state fan. He put in work on them, I’m no kstste homer. [Reply]
Watch the videos in the OP. He totally bullies normal college linemen. He's really strong and has the frame to carry more with an NFL program. This was the last pick of the first round, so temper expectations. But, this could turn out to be a good pick.... [Reply]
See my thing is is that I feel like Hyatt could be the best wide receiver in the draft. If it’s true that his 40 time was compromised I mean. But if Veach doesn’t feel the same? Well, I’m just basically shooting from the hip as a fan and I trust the scouts. [Reply]

But I had my sights set on the previous 4-5 players that were literally picked in a row + Mayer who we passed.
He was projected to go early to possibly mid-second round, at 31 it’s not a reach. We may trade up tomorrow for someone projected in the same range, flip them and you have the same results. Trading up in the first is more costly, and even at that was pursued but the offers were turned down. There is no way it was a reach.
As to picking him for his KSU ties, I’d think his KC metro ties would likely weigh more heavily, if that was even part of the consideration. [Reply]
I actually really like this pick. It's pretty fucking cool for him to play for the team he grew up loving. It's literally every kid that plays football's dream. Should give him additional motivation.
Wish he would have been invited to the draft. Kinda fucked they didn't invite the local kid that had a 1st round grade. [Reply]
