I actually knew that (and expected it) coming in but WOW … some of you really exceeded my expectations in the past few days.
I have a great sense of humor in real life so I’m not fazed by the negative comments myself as I laugh at most … but some of you may want to consider a lobotomy before posting again. And please don’t allow your lack of intimacy with your wives and girlfriends continue to affect your thoughts. Especially with the new guys posting on here. They may not be as thick skinned as I am.
As for the people following my posts hoping I can shed some light on what actually happened in the second half? I explained all my information in my second post if you want to go back and check. From what I’m being told there was NO CONSPIRACY … NO Delta Force Snipers hiding in the stands if the players refused to play like crap.
We all saw the second half and our heroes played like ****. The only clues given to me were explained in my second post. So if that’s all you’re looking for here … then move on and save yourself some reading as I can’t give you an EXACT reason … only what happened in the locker room that may or may not … have been a catalyst to the meltdown.
Lastly, before moving on …
Some of you have complained about the length of my pieces here. Consider this … I could just give you bullet point facts with no details … but then they only sound like an opinion that anybody could have made up. I give you details to understand the context in which I was supplied the information … not to write a novel. I want to try and answer your questions so that it makes the statement clear for all. Trust me … I have better things to do than write books on here. Adam Schefter I’m not … but I DO have inside knowledge of what I display on here.
Many of your read long articles on the Athletic and other sources and never complain. But somebody goes into detail here and some of you have a field day griping. All I can say is … if you have a reading comprehension disorder … then get some help and come back and see us.
All that said … I consider you ALL brothers to support out favorite team … and my feelings toward you will always be respectful and friendly.
Here’s what I got ….
As stated previously … I have many friends inside our favorite stadium. Some are better than others but one is my best friend and next door neighbor. We had dinner together Monday night and here’s what I learned.
After the blow up at halftime and subsequent loss of the game … EVERYONE in the organization was devastated as expected. But because of the harsh words and feelings in the locker room … a “cooling off” period was suggested (and needed). The team wasn’t going to make any “knee jerk” decisions based on what had taken place in the game ... and mostly throughout the year.
During the player exit interviews that took place in the following days … I am told that one player (described as one of the top players on offense) was considering publicly asking for a trade if a certain OC was retained. WOW … I wasn’t expecting that one. Try as I might I could not get my friend and source to tell me any more than that. My source said that it was being handled internally and that the hope was that the player would change his mind after some time had passed … and hopefully fences could be mended. I was also told their there is animosity between several top players and the OC in question. CONFIRMED … but again no names.
I’m told the building was split … some wanted to resign the man … but others wanted to move on. That is why this is taking so long … as “options” were being explored. There HAVE been discussions with a certain former head coach we know to return to the team next year in some capacity … but that position has not been defined to my source.
I’m also told that an offer was made to “take a year off” (with a salary offered no less) … but that suggestion was meant with resistance from the party involved by him thinking that he would lose all traction for a future head coach position. My source further said that many attempts have been made to help him find a job with another organization … but so far no luck. They want to get this right for the optics involved.
According to my source … a decision has been made … but he is not privy to it as of Monday night. My other sources are dry on this issue too. Upper echelon is holding their cards close. But either way my Monday night guy believes that Nagy will be back next year in some capacity no matter what happens … and whatever is coming … will be announced in the next day or two.
My source’s last tidbit to me was … “that IF … the recent OC WAS retained for some reason … changes and concessions would have to be made on his part to continue on in that capacity". He would also have some fence mending to do. I’m told those clauses were agreeable to him.
Although none of this here is earth shattering news and I wish I had more … but it does shed some light on why this has been taking so long. If I hear anything new I will post it when I hear it.

So Nate Taylor said he thinks it'll be announced in the next day or two. And then after that you post the same thing. Wow!
Earlier you told us that every word that you post on here was very, very closely vetted by people.
If there were any chance of retaining EB, why would they direct you to share this internal strife?
And why would they want you to share that one of the players was close to demanding a trade?
Please explain their logic because it seems your general narrative and posts lack of a sort of internal consistency.
Good point.
And it simply doesn't make sense to give a shit about 'optics' for a guy who isn't under contract. Reid is 63, it's not like he's going to suddenly gain a reputation or other coaches may be weary of going to the Chiefs because they don't resign their OC who most likely hasn't had a ton of control over the offense anyway.
I can't think of any negative repercussions of letting the guy go beyond EB not being able to find a new job... and that's not the Chiefs' problem at all.
I'm sure that kind of locker room drama happens fairly often, and teams are split between players who like and dislike a coach or whatever.... and if it's serious enough, then it makes sense to let things cool down. Seems like a fairly common thing that would happen after tough playoff losses across the league and if all that really happened, it's good to know they aren't prone to knee jerk reactions. [Reply]

First and foremost ... I had that info Monday night and wrote most of my piece yesterday so I had no idea that Nate Taylor had offered anything. I am not on twitter and I don't have a subscription to the Athletic. I posted what I was told on Monday night.
Second ... NOBODY .... (I REPEAT) ... NOBODY ... has asked me to post ANYTHING!!!!
I am a long time fan (just like you) that happens to have friends in the building and had heard what was going on. When Clay kept getting roasted ... I broke my ten year silence on here to simply confirm that 90% of what he told us in his first post was spot on based on my insider knowledge of the situation.
After my first post ... I DID .... do a little digging to further clarify my posts. But I have no skin in the game except for the reasons I've stated.
But NOBODY asked me o share info ... I did it on my own.
And at this point I admit I don't know what the future holds at OC. My sources either don't know ... or won't tell me.
Personally ... I want a change too. Our team has a window that doesn't need to be bogged down with strife and mistrust,
Thank you DJBill once again and I think most of us appreciate your info. With the combine coming up they definitely will have to have an OC by then so if EB is gone they will do it Friday late afternoon for the weekend dump.
I intrigued by who this top player on O that demanded a trade though... Both Hill and Kelce supported EB on Twitter when the original story came out. Kelce also has professed his love for EB multiple times including on SB sunday. There is only 1 top player left that hasn't done or said anything in support of EB lately and that is Mahomes. :-) [Reply]

I’m going with option one… for a couple of different reasons.
I don't know what posts YOU are reading ... but NOWHERE in my posts am I trying to "pull the rug out" from under Clay.
I posted initially to CONFIRM that what he originally posted was 90% TRUE ! And ask everyone to give him a break.

People like yourself and Clay can't understand that some people wont believe what you say not because of preconceived ideas, but because it reads like complete bullshit.
Your post is better in terms of not making logic jumps and creating a narrative. But why would anyone believe you? Nobody knows who you are and you can't collaborate anything. So why would we take anything of value from your posts? You have sources? Great, that means absolutely zero to people who don't know who you are and who your sources may be. [Reply]
