Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.
Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.
Went out today and bracketed my 9 by going triple (on a straight 370 yard Par 4 where it took me five shots to get down)-double (after hitting a perfect drive but misjudging the cut off angle wrong and ending up right behind a tree and having a 4 footer lip out) to shoot 42.
That said, I didn't hit any iron shots solid today, didn't chip well, but I only missed one putt inside of 6 feet, and hit the driver pretty well.

Just a suggestion ... the better the attitude the better the game you play, in most cases. The more stressed you get the tighter muscles get, which makes for bad swings.
I wish it were that easy. I really do. I just can't seem to enjoy a game that I have no hope of ever doing well at. [Reply]
Because of back and neck spasms I haven't played in two weeks. I'm not quite recovered yet and I'm headed to the beach for 8 days and that's a week from today. Since I'm not playing today there's no need to take the clubs on this vacation. It would be waste of time and money. So it looks like before I even got a real grip on my game I'm taking a month off. Damn the luck!
Wow what a choke in the Fed Ex/St. Jude ..... Up 3 with just the 18th hole to play and Robert Garrigus takes a triple. He had a chance to win on tour for the first time and gacked it. Now a 3 man playoff.
Back from 5 days in Arkansas playing golf. Had a fine 84 on Thursday after being unable to even get off the tee the previous two days. On a 515 yard par 5 I hit on in three and the shot rolled across the face of the cup and missed dropping in for an eagle by an inch. The ball settled about a foot away and I tapped in for bird.
Had a triple and two doubles to finish or it could have been better. [Reply]
