Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Mahomes has Tarkenton scrambling ability, as evidenced by a 20 yard shuttle at the Combine eerily similar to Russell Wilson. Patrick CHOOSES to throw the ball while scrambling instead of choosing to run it. That does not mean he's slow or a statue. He could kill people with his legs in the run game if he wanted.
We know the arm strength comparison is an absolute joke. Watson even with his feet under him struggles to hit 50 mph on the gun, while Mahomes can throw 61 mph on one leg off his back foot after scrambling around for 40+ yards in the backfield.
I am convinced a lot of these people still haven't really watched Mahomes play. They look at a box score and that's pretty much it. They saw a lot of Watson in college and they are clinging to those memories. I heard Herbstreit this morning on Dan Patrick's radio show say that Mahomes' college tape looked like a typical Air Raid QB.
I question whether Herbstreit actually watched the tape. I tend to think he didn't. Too busy obsessing over powerhouse schools in college football to pay any attention to Mahomes at little old Tech. Nobody with a functioning brain should be able to watch Mahomes' college tape and think he looks the same as Kingsbury, Harrell, (ahem JARED GOFF ahem), and whoever else from that system.
If they acknowledge that his talent showed up on tape, they acknowledge their own failure.
Oddly enough after years of making fun of him, they've now decided to anoint Andy Reid the offensive genius of our generation. It's not that they were wrong. It's that Andy Reid waved some magic wand and made him awesome. [Reply]

Oh my think of what Geenyous Andy could do if he only had Watson. :-) [Reply]
