I went out today. I had them gobbling all around but did not have any come real close. I'm going to go back out on Saturday now that I have a better idea of where they were coming from. I'll get out there a little earlier this time. I barely got set up before the sun. [Reply]

Sounds like you have a bead on 'em. Hope my info helped. Buddy just sent me some pics of the turkey his 12 year old niece got hunting with him during the youth season. It weighed 22 1/4 pounds, 11" beard and 1 1/4" spurs. [Reply]
Monday I slipped home for lunch and looked out my bedroom window. 15 hens and 2 strutting toms within shotgun range. I am a couple of weeks out but like what I see so far this spring. [Reply]

That's awesome. I met a guy today that showed me around a few spots around Clinton Lake. I'm hoping tomorrow is somewhat dry so I can check it out. It's right around an eagle's nest and as we drove by I saw 3 pretty good sized Toms and almost hit two hens with the truck. We are getting closer and should be able to bag a couple before gun season starts. [Reply]

Good luck to ya! Hey do you know if you need a daily hunt permit for Clinton Lake? Again best of luck to ya! My season starts in 3 days! Can't wait. [Reply]

I don't think so. (At least I hope not') I usually check in via the Sportsman app.
Go get em! Let me know how it goes. Taking down a turkey with my bow has proven to be pretty challenging this far. I'll keep plugging. [Reply]

Okay. Buddy mentioned he had heard that maybe Clinton was going to be added to the list of places you have to check in and out of with the Sportsman app. Hunting anything with a bow can be a challenge or a shotgun at times also..lol. Have a good one and hope you score a nice longbeard! [Reply]

Haha, no, I hunted for a solid 12 hours yesterday and heard the thunder this morning and decided to stay home. I may try and sneak out Tuesday morning before gun season starts on Wednesday. [Reply]
