Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
4-5 months with a new QB coach has done a lot of good for his footwork. We'll see if he can learn the mental side of pro football by the time 2018 rolls around. [Reply]
Seriously, that's a nice, compact, quick, high delivery. No drop down like Alex Smith or windup ala Cassel.
Now the key is him maintaining that under live fire, but a full year of reps in practice should put that into muscle memory before he ever gets to that stage. [Reply]

Great point.... that's what makes this developmental window so valuable. Lots of time to create good habits and erase bad ones. Make the mistakes on the practice field, so they are patched up by the time its his turn to roll as the starter. [Reply]

I liken it to cutting grooves into a record, the more you manually write something down the deeper you lay the groove into your brain... its an excellent technique for improving memory IMO
One year, thats all the kids gonna need... then its gonna be time to uncork the whupass
Did you think he was going to sit around and wait for the starting job to come to him?

They said the entire practice was drop backs and precision throwing. Looks like they are already off and running hammering proper mechanics over and over and over again. [Reply]
