I realize this is based on a comic but how in the hell does Deanna open the door to a hallway full of walkers and not have even a few bites out of her or did I miss something. [Reply]

They could. I just think they seriously damaged the impact of it with his close call earlier this season. Bad choice to do that if they're gonna turn around and kill him anyway. Should have used someone else. [Reply]

I feel like Maggie's baby represents hope, so I don't think so. They could kill off Abe, Sasha, Tara, Rosita, or any of the Alexandrians without losing much, but you'd lose the impact of the kill, too.
It's the same reason Kylo Ren (Ep. 7 spoiler coming up)...
Spoiler!
killed Han. The audience needed that to really, really hate him.
If Negan doesn't kill one of the long-time members of Rick's party, they're losing out on the opportunity to get the audience really against a major villain. [Reply]

So true...I really don't want that to happen but maaaan it would be cool/shitty at the same time [Reply]

Thought the same thing. Maybe the door closing zombification explains it but then who let her out? Did she just walk down the stairs, out through the door, through Alexandria and into the woods? Pretty silly but oh well.
Also, this relationship does set up for Michone to die at the hands of Negan. She's had a good run but what else does she offer? Kill her off and it is sad, but I think the show moves on with no issue. I really think she goes. [Reply]
Thinking a little more about the above...not sure if we can go through another of Ricks freak out episodes any time soon. Having that happen would sure make a man want to end it all. Not sure if that would be good or bad tv. [Reply]

I think more likely Daryl than Michonne.
She's pretty important in the comics. And who takes Andrea's place? Andrea is still alive at this point in the comics (and note that Michonne is starting to take on the Rick relationship Andrea played in the comics, too). [Reply]

Man, that just really sinks my ship. I like her but Daryl is really more interesting than Rick in my opinion. He has no reason to stay true and be a good guy like Rick (because of the family) so it is that much more awesome that he didn't take the bad path. Daryl would really get me. Would not like at all. Makes me almost sick to my stomach thinking of it. But as the post mentioned above, Negan needs to kill someone special to be hated and talked about all off season and if I had to choose it would be Michonne.
Guess I should read the comics to understand the direction they want to go and Rick having a leading lady again would be a good path to walk. Maybe I am projecting in order just to save Daryl? [Reply]

Yeah you could be right. Rick does kinda have a Jack Bauer, if I love a woman she's bound to die, vibe to him. [Reply]
