I think it was week 2 where I pretty much pegged Conner.
That guy is in the middle of EVERYTHING. Good play - Conner is probably involved. Catastrophic mistake that leads directly to a TD - Conner is going to be involved.
Conner is just the most high variance player I've seen in a REALLY long time. I think we're asking too much of him but I also don't know what alternatives we have.
But yeah, I was going to mention Conner but figured I'd get squealed at by the folks who love Rakeem Nunez-Roches but ignored the fact that in between every sack/splash play he'd get beaten like a rented mule.
That's pretty much what we're getting from him this year. [Reply]

Get him the hell out, nobody else could conceivably be worse.
Can't expect our corners to dominate Allen though. Especially with Cooper in the fold now.
This wasn't too different than the offensive showing the Bills had last postseason in Orchard Park.
I think the Chiefs should've dealt for a corner, but I'm not sure Johnson is terrible. Hopefully Watson is back for the playoffs. [Reply]

Or maybe they'll just score more points in the threepeat? [Reply]

Need him to just play thru it and keep improving.
The other Cb just isn't good enough, but it is what it is. [Reply]

The injuries have hurt that this year as Watson was playing well.
Same as the offense with the WR's and Rb going down.
They've got thru it all 9-1. Now the reinforcements hopefully start arriving.
You are right but I can't help but think the worts on this team are bigger than the past few years. The LT tackle position is meh at best, corners outside of McDuffie suck, and the WR core overall is just OK, Mahomes is playing like Favre. Feels like Buffalo was able to feast on our weaknesses.
I'm not betting against the Chiefs because it would be foolish to do so but some of these holes are pretty damn eye opening. [Reply]

Perhaps it's because Lattimpre wouldn't have been able to help much this year. He still hurt. [Reply]

Silver lining: even so, we’re a 4th and 2 stop away from probably winning that game and not playing all that well along the way. [Reply]

But if you go look at everything from TOP to first downs to yards, every stat across the board we got dominated in that game.
I think outside of rushing yards. They def handled us. [Reply]

Yeah, sadly it seems a bit like it. I'm not sure that all that isn't papered over if the QB gets back to playing like we all know he can, so if that happens we're golden.
It sucks that the injuries happened to who they did. Losing Rice just sucks because it really seemed like he was gonna be kicking ass this year. [Reply]

For sure, but we've also won close games like that this past few years and people have bitched about how it's not "impressive" or whatever.
Sometimes you ain't got your fastball. We ham and egged it to a close game in the fourth quarter. Just make another play here or there. [Reply]

It's all about setting the tone as well. You can carry bad players if your top guys perform. Second play of the game and we give one of the worst INTs away just set the mood [Reply]
Folks keep talking about "holes" and "dominating stats" but the bottom line is the team just had a bad day. Fullstop. No need to go scientific over it. This team has been playing with key pieces out. Once they get back then we can really see what reality is. Until then we take the good with the bad and keep moving. [Reply]
