Zammit has very violent speed like Tyreek. Probably no one has Tyreek start and stop acceleration and agility. But his recorded mph speeds have declined since his early kc days.

Can’t tell much until full pads come on. I remember how much catching balls with shoulder pads sucked when I played football. But that was back when they were giant and cumbersome

He’s either 6’2 or 6’3 at 209.

209 isn’t very big for someone of that height (per nfl rb standards).

A lot of gadget guys aren’t that big but they’re usually shorter. I’m excited to see how he looks. It’s going to be interesting

With Hollywood, Worthy and Wiley hitting training camp I just couldn’t give a damn about LRZ. I hope it works out but man there’s so much more to get hyped about. His hype train is much more tolerable than the Ross hype train from last year.

Wouldn’t be shocked if he starts consistently getting first team reps by the end of camp with Thuney being out. He seems to have a good personality and is meshing well with the OL room, if he shows competency during the preseason he could get some real opportunity to be the LG of the future (considering Thuney is probably likely gone after this year).

For me, I don't really give a shit about studying or thinking about these new kickoff rules, and I'd rather just watch a game or two to figure out what teams will use as tactics. So because it's a blank spot in my mind, I guess LRZ represents this mysterious cheat code kickoff guy because that's what I've been told he could end up being.

And I already said this, but if he ends up being a valuable gadget guy in some form, it's going to be sweet sweet nectar listening to every announcer praising the Chiefs for finding this guy because I can imagine opposing fans just going, "Shut up! He's not that good! He's not a real RB! Fuck you!!!!!"

Think about it. LRZ makes some unique special teams play as the kickoff guy, and Collinsworth says something like, "I don't know how this team keeps doing it, but they did it again with this Welshman. They're diving into RUGBY now? Across the pond??!! And they're finding guys who make these kinds of plays? I tell you, this team is run by absolute geniuses!"

I love hearing mahomes say he wasnt having very much fun. I know these guys don’t need any motivation. But it is always a factor after every Super Bowl that guys want it just a little bit less which is probably the biggest obstacle to repeating. If they won a Super Bowl powering through it imagine what it’s gonna look like when they have their swagger.

I can’t remember a season where I’ve been more excited since the first Super Bowl.

Question I have is will the rugby background help or not mean much when it comes to pass protection. Figured he'd have at least some experience being a blocker in those scrums but I don't know **** all about the strategy of Rugby so not sure how it'd all work.
Quick answer is no, his rugby background does nothing for pass pro.

Quick aside, pass pro for any running back really comes down to willingness. Like anything, you have to practice (a ton at the nfl level) and then in game you have to be willing to take some serious contact.

Longer rugby answer:
He played two positions, wing and fullback. Wing is basically a striker type player in soccer or WR/RB in football. Fastest guys on the team go there or fullback. Fullback is a safety and also the guy that typically fields long kicks (relevant for punt/kick return in football).

The guys in the scrum are "pack players" or forwards. Louis Dreyfus was a back, never in a scrum.

Last point, there is no blocking, in any way in rugby. It is considered a foul if you attempt to get in anyone's way, let alone block for a teammate.
