So before it starts getting too warm, which it has around here quickly this year... bushes are starting to look green, tree's are budding etc
I wanted to do some heavy comfort food before we start grilling out and eating lighter this spring and summer... ALDI had a seven pack of thin sliced ribeye on sale, so its chicken fried steak tonight
With mashed taters, scratch cream gravy... and a corn/Casa Mamita diced tomato and green chili mix with butter, cumin, and garlic [Reply]
Been craving some fresh Tex Mex so did carne asada tacos with charro beans and green chili cornbread mini muffins
Red Bag carne asada from El Torito is the best in the southeast valley. Made some fresh pico with pablanos, did the charro beans with chorizo and some leftover pulled pork, and the wife did the green chili cornbread muffins
Everywhere in the US can claim great Mexican food but no one does flour tortillas like the SW and Northern Mexico imho

You couldn't possibly be as thin as your avatar suggests. Excellent work, as always. [Reply]
I had a bunch of chicken salad sandwiches earlier this week. Bought like 2 pounds of Fry's chicken salad and added cilantro, chopped white onions, black pepper, a little salt and horseradish cream. Toasted a long ciabatta loaf, added swiss and romaine lettuce and the chicken salad. Tasted awesome.
Made more sandwiches the next day using toasted large croissants.
Now having a large lasagna from local restaurant with a nice chianti and garlic bread. [Reply]
