Hobo Dinners kick ass. We plop ours right in the fire pit coals. [Reply]
Probably the last time I'll post something in here for a bit, but at least it came out pretty good.
Cast iron grilled Elk saddle chops seasoned with a Brazillian meat rub recipe I found on the interwebs, along with grilled mixed veggies (yellow onions, Broccoli, carrots, crimini and shitake mushrooms, garlic slices, jalapeno slices).
Kind of over-cooked the chops; went all the way to 146 degrees. But was still pretty decent. Might try them again with an Asian marinade next time. [Reply]
Jumbo Louisiana Gulf Shrimp Cocktail and Flammenkuchen-Alsatian onion tarte, bacon, Emmenthaler cheese at Luke's in New Orleans last night with a few of the senior team members. Really nice place

Any of you guys ever use tallow for grilling steak before? Just bought a 10 oz. jar for experimentation and thought I'd ask if anyone had any specific pointers before I do this. [Reply]
Moms doing up her World Famous fried chicken, with taters, gravy and green beans with bacon and onion... gonna go get me a big fat take home plate here soon [Reply]
I've got a bag of frozen wings I've been itching to cook for a week or so, but i bit the shit out of my lip like a moron so i can't eat spicy food until it heals. [Reply]
At Napoleon House in New Orleans. Gonna have a half muffulleta, red beans and rice then split a grilled Boudin Sausage appetizer with my work colleague. Drinking a glass of Tuacany Sangiovese wine.
Place had a line of about 20 people when arrived. [Reply]
